| A Wigan win !
Especially just for my Dad, a schoolfriend of ex GB International and Wigan legend Martin Ryan, from many years ago.
My Dad used to watch Wigan since the 1920's.
Born down Miry Lane.
Unfortunately, he passed away last night aged 90.
He was a D-Day veteran.
RIP Dad !

If you don't bother to go to the game when you live in the locality then you are not really a fan and therefore your views are invalid. It's simple.:icons39ad_files/4821-1859san_c-msnicons.jpg |

| I have never met Fb that I know of, but from his posts on this forum and the recollections he tells of days gone by I feel that he his an aquaintence. My thoughts are with you Fleabag and your family at this sad time.

| God bless Fleabag's father.
Never a nice thing to go through... thoughts are with you and yours at this time...
Hope you can try to enjoy the game on Friday, regardless of the scoreline... Your old man will always be with you watching your team.

| Fleabag sincere condolences. I lost my dad 11 years ago and it still hurts. It's at times like this that you realise that rugby is only a game.
God bless.

I’m very sorry for your sad loss FB, at 90 your Dad must have been a mine of wisdom and history. God bless him and you and yours mate. I’ll ask mi Dad and older brother who both passed when very young to show him round up there and find him great seat for the match, and a nice pint too.

| God rest his soul. I lost my mum the Monday before the 2010 Good friday match - the last at KR. I watched the end of the match through tears. Raise a glass to him tomorrow.

| Wigan aren't as good as last season and we've vastly improved since then.
If we play to our potential, Saints will win.

Not a huge amount to fear in the Wigan team. Of course anything can happen in a derby, it could be a punch up or one team sailing away with a 20 point lead.
But if it plays out without any random factors. I reckon we will not be far off that score.
Wigan have not been blowing teams away by any stretch and with Wane pointing out the Wigan backs that they are a lesser bunch of players than both Leeds and Saints, he's not brimming with his usual confidence either.
Maybe he was just stressing that to get his excuses in early too
Saints 16 points better than Wigan? Do you fancy putting your money were your mouth is? Say £20 and I'll take Wigan with a 16 start.

Warrington led 16-2 in Saturday's Grand Final, but their joy was short-lived as Wigan roared back to win the Super League title and extend the Wire's 58-year wait to be champions:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_10174.png |

As long as your forwards don't get intimidated and shy away from the battle like they normally do.

If I was a betting man then I certainly would go to the bookies.
As it is betting has never held great appeal for me, too much like leaving my chances to people outside of my control.
But he may feel free to gloat all day long if Wigan lose by less than 16 points. ![THINK eusa_think.gif](images/smilies//eusa_think.gif)
