Yes i felt it was a little flat. Wallace tried his best but they need Soward in for Campese in game II in my opinion.

was good first 10mins and last 10, but in between definitely lacked something i agree. maybe it was the venue.

| I thought Craig Wing totally changed the game when he came on.

Isn't Wing on a fortune at Souths?
I seem to remember loads of publicity when he signed.

Its a good job he did, he was on the bench for 55 minutes! Strange tactic but it almost came off.

Soward would be pulverised in Origin. The NSW halves had no room to move tonight, so that would take out Soward's running game. His kicking game would've been of little value tonight as well, which leaves him with his passing game, which is very poor.
NSW have to stick with Campo and Wallace now, they'll be better for it.
EDIT: No, Wing is not on mega at Souths. He took a significant pay-cut after moving from the Roosters, to the point where he told the media he was on chicken feed, or something to that tune.

EDIT
Looking at the NSW side i think they have to get some more threat on the outside of Lyon.
McManus looked a little off the pace to me.
Who's there to pick though?
Obviously aswell they need to get Wing into the game earlier in future and have both him and Farah running out of dummy half to try and get Queensland on the back foot.

If you want to get rid of McManus, then there's Monaghan or either of the Morris brothers to pick from.
You do wonder what Hayne might be able to do from fullback though. He had a big influence from the wing (although him and Jennings swapped positions at least once).
I think Bailey has to come from the bench, he's not big enough to be up against Price and Civo in the opening exchanges. Some people are calling for Poore and Weyman to start, not the worst idea. NSW need more ascendency in the forwards, especially early on. Our halves had no room or time for a lot of the game, with most of our inroads coming from dummy-half through Farah and Wing.
Pretty sure NSW will get the win in Sydney, but Brisbane is another matter.

| NSW performances in recent origins reflects the poor state of Sydney Rugby League in my opinion. All the Queensland backs are big recognisable names. Not the case for NSW.
