| Regardless of injuries that was really poor, I can't comprehend what we must do in training in attack. Even at the start when we were competing with them it was only because of our defence. I feel sorry for Bateman and Clubb, they didn't deserve to be on the end of that scoreline (which flattered us!)

Just because YOU have an opinion, does not mean YOU are right, i'm entitled to an opinion, just as you are.. I know i'm one of the few who does not scream like a girl, and have to be dragged back from the edge of the cut when we play badly, and it's why i post very little these days... I'll leave you to your hand ringing and wailing... Have a lovely day...
It's a sport, not life, I take it no more seriously, I just expect (more like hope these days) to be entertained. I wish I could be as upbeat as you I really do, but to me that's just sticking your head in the sand. That isn't a personal insult, it's just a difference in personality type. I haven't felt entertained for a long time now, it goes back to last year when we seemed to just lose ideas all of a sudden and nothing has improved. I fear that we will get players back, some individual performances will win games and the bigger issues will be overlooked.

I completely agree with you. A few years ago I would have come up with reasons for a thrashing then told myself that we will improve and go on to win at Wembley then me mam would wake me up for school.
Injuries are merely highlighting just how poor we are. Apart from Clubb and to a lesser degree Bateman the rest were truely awful last night. This isn't new news it's just a continuation of drab, lifeless, joyless rugby.
We trundle everywhere. We have a team of trundlers. I genuinely find it hard to believe that Burke, Isa, Tierney, Sutton, Mossop, Smith, Powell et al ever played RL before they signed for us. They are totally utterly lifeless.
If I hear again about conditioning and how fit we are I will scream. We look shot at before we start a game and every player gasps for air even after trundling in. The body language of the players is depressing.
Personally I don't think we are a top 8 team and said it my sons at the Catalan game. At the time they laughed at me but they are not laughing now.
We will struggle to beat Dewsbury and then get butchered again by Hull.
I'm not surprised by last night but disappointed with myself for not feeling hurt about being totally thrashed by a team who stopped playing after 60 minutes.

| I am not quite in the desperation state but last night was poor.
It has to be taken in context - looking at some of the young players last night they looked shot, I suspect some of them have played one too many games recently at their state of development and it showed. Some of them (but by no means all) may be good prospects but they are having to do too much at present without the benefit of experience to fall back on.
There was also a clear lack of leadership out there - Lockers is a big miss in just that regard beyond his ability on the field and I am not sure Bateman is captain material just yet. Too many times the team looked lost and directionless, Gregson at 6 cannot offer direction and that leaves Smith with far too much to try and do.
We were beaten by a team that played much better last night - simple.
Wigan can and will get better once we can get a full team out, that will be a time to judge.

You can't argue with that. I would also ask people not to judge a rank average performance from Warrington....please judge us when our best player is on the pitch.

I'm not having a pop at Warrington but I don't think they played as well as they can. To be honest if they had played for a full 80 minutes I think they could have over 60 points. If they had needed to they could have stepped up a gear or two.
I'm just thankful that Sandow didn't play and that Currie decided to have a kip for most of the night. Non of our young guns are remotely near as good as Currie.
I'm not worried what Warrington do or don't do I'm just worried that the impact several years of non recruitment has arrived irrespective of injuries.

| Only played with 12 men near the end when are are injuries going to stop.
Wigan had five England players and another three regulars on the sidelines and they then lost forwards Tony Clubb (head), Lee Mossop (quad) and Taulima Tautai (calf) to injury in the second half as they finished the game with 12 men.

Or George Williams Or Dom Manfredi Or Oliver Gildart
As I said last night
We found something out over the last 4/5 weeks - Our Team without 8/9 of our top 10 players isn't good enough to win super league - It can compete top6/8 but it can't win it.
However
We'll only find out if our first team with 7/8 players back are good enough to win it June/July - Then & Only then will we have a better idea.
9 wins from 13 given what we've had to go through is an hell of an effort from a team basically missing 1/2 it's players for the last 10 weeks.
Some if it's not been pretty, some of it's been dreadful.
Some players have coped pretty well and surprised us, some have been hit & miss and some have been awful.
But without 5/6 of those 9 wins we wouldn't be in a place to win it come Super 8's time and for that I'm grateful that they've hung in there, won games they probably shouldn't have and dragged themselves into a position that we may be able to capitalize on later in the year.
If we were sat on 2 or 3 wins from 13 like some clubs we'd be out of it already.
And not many clubs can say they'd have managed the adversity as well as we have.

Moe probably inaccurately I don't consider Bateman to be a young gun because already he is for me an established first choice regular.
I dread to think how we would be without Bateman.

| I didn't expect us to win last night with the side we put out. Of course, we have a lot of players out. But so do most clubs, Injuries are so commonplace in RL, But Wigan are supposed to be one of the 'big' clubs (if not the 'biggest'), We would expect to have a stronger squad than we have. If a side like Widnes, say, loses Kev Brown, we know that's going to be a massive blow to them. But we should expect to cope rather better. Yes, we are missing our spine. But it's the unforced errors and the poor discipline that's killing us. One of the things I'm fond of telling all the RU fans in this part of the country is that skill levels, especially amongst the backs, are far superior in SL (and even more so,of course, in the NRL). But I reckon even Northampton or Wasps or Bath's backs would run rings round us at the moment. As I've said before, watching the Superleague Show, virtually every side in SL has shown more attacking ingenuity at times than we've managed this season. Wakey are an example.
