20333_1393344959.gif Current thoughts - Mago out or get running up them plantations, get fit or get rid.
Maybe a back up halfback, someone with a bit of experience on a short term deal.
Big tall strong running second rower, like a McMeekin or Sironen type back rower.:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_20333.gif |

Technically Finch is a traditional 7 and he won't be here next season, Chase will be the best 6 in the league next year was more my point.
Now Finch at 7 and Chase at 6 would have been nice.

| I would be astounded if we actually paid a £100,000 fee for Chase
imo he's a one trick pony and an expensive one too
IF we cant sign a decent 6 for next season i would rather have Lockers at 6 rather than Chase

Of course Dobson would love to leave HKR and play for you, it goes without saying

If Lockers plays 6 and Chase signs for Wire I don't see us winning anything next year, whereas I could see Wire winning trophies.

| £350k for a player that could be with us for 5-6 years is not that bad. He could be the new Tommy.

| Could be a good deal. Let's wait & see.
I'd be happy with Smith & Chase as our halves next year.

Behind a monster pack of Hock. Mossop, Lockers, Hansen, Dudson, Flower, Luakie and who ever else we sign.

| Chase is definitely the best 6 we can realistically get to replace Finch. None of the halves in the 20's look capable of stepping up in the next year or two (we'll wait and see on Powell when he regains his fitness, and George Williams looks special but is only 17) so why not get Chase? I think he'd fit into our offensive systems very well. Giving him more runners to work with would only make him more dangerous, and the accusation that he's a one-trick-pony is pretty much wiped out by looking at his number of try assists in the last 18 months. He can put people through gaps or go through gaps himself, which is basically what Finchy has done well this season

What a dreadful thing!
Taste is the enemy of creativeness.

| Chase's running game would compliment Smith's game. Brough is a similar style of player to Smith but with the best kicking game in the league. Our kicking game has been inconsistent over the past few years so that's something that needs to be considered. Overall though, I'd say Chase is the better option, just for the space he'd create for the wide men and Sam.

Fine, looks like fat talk to me. lets see who they are, but remember it can't be just a list of the worlds best, it must be those who we would at least have a outside chance of signing! show us the list please..
Rock 'n' Roll.

| Billy Goat Brough or Chase The Ace, I don't mind, either would do, with Chase he is a better play maker a good player with the brain-ball, (like Finch) Brough for me is not as good in this department but he can punt, so would be a good back up to Pat, a much better choice than what we have at the minute. (no disrespect to anyone) but till IL makes a move, it's just our opinions, nout wrong in that, it gives us something to talk about till he does.
My ratings would be out of 10.. Brough 7, Chase 8. Finch 9..
Rock 'n' Roll.
