Quote: LovesToSpooge "Well all I'm going off is the positions that these players have played for there club, so Sam at 6 and Eastmond at centre. The only player in that squad to have played any reasonable amount of time at 7 would be Myler.

myler missed the the last 2 month of the season

Quote: - Neil - "Yeah but who would you pick? Gleeson doesnt deserve to be there. Seniors past it. Atkins is injured.

It would be good if we give Shenton the experience, play Eastmond at centre against France and then go with Sykes against the better sides for his size.'"
.
Sykes is only small and wqas poor in the World Cup.

I think that is probably our strongest team.

Sadly, it is nowhere near the level of the Australian/NZ team. We will tonk France and then have the usual "We will win the competition" or "We should seriously challenge Australia" before being tonked by Australia and then NZ.

It's quite sad that some of those players (in the full 24squad) are the best we can come up with to play for England.

Reading reports on NZ and Aussie and it looks like the Kiwis have alot of players missing or who have been "stood down" but your probably right whoever they field will just run over the top of us as usual All Blacks sides do.

As for the Aussie I know Folau is missing but has been replaced with Jennings from what I've seen is well pretty darn good, his 110 metre try Vs Sydney City Roosters comes to mind

Have not put my team up as thought it was pointless till Smith named his squad.
I'd go with

1. Shaun Briscoe
2. Lee Smith
3. Chris Bridge
4. Michael Shenton
5. Peter Fox
6. Kyle Eastmond
7. Danny McGuire
8. Adrian Morley
9. James Roby
10. Sam Burgess
11. Jamie Peacock
12. Gareth Ellis
13. Kevin Sinfield

14. James Graham
15. Eorl Crabtree
16. Sean O’Loughlin
17. Scott Moore

Awful choice from Tony Smith with some players.

Pryce should be in to play centre!

Tomkins must play IMO.

Australia could put out a second string side and still tonk us, NZ maybe won't beat us by as many but at least 16-30 points IMO.

I feel embarassed for France TBH, a smacking by us, Aus and NZ on home turf is going to do the best part of f*ck all for their fanbase IMO.

LMS is'nt in there because he doesn't play for wire, but Smith has said to Louie "as soon as you sign for wire I'll pick you for England" icon_wink.gif

No LMS
Pryce doesn't deserve a place in the squad on this season's performances.
LMS has been poor for at least half the season. Bridge has played well and is a name that quite a few Warington fans were suggesting.

It really is a frighting prospect isn't it.

It's evil when you look at not only some of the first choice players Australia have but also the alternates.

Who cares about the alternatives? They can only put 13 men out on the field.

We're looking at Shenton & Who? to face Inglis and Hodges?

Billy Slater at fullback meaning some poor unfortunate is going to have to deal with Jarryd Hayne on the wing?

Lockyer and Thurston v McGuire and Myler?? that's not going to be pretty

Cam smith v Scott Moore??
