Good job I spotted that before you got the thing made.

Red is the colour, cherry is the shade
The design is a retort to the claim made in some quarters that the town is turning blue. Red sounds a bit snappier than cherry and white. That, and it was a load cheaper to make!

Top effort Paul by the way. Red n white for home, black for away. Like it

Love what Bilko said about it in his match preview. Like many he thought it was a great idea but it would never come off, great effort by all of you though!

Yeah I did at the time but I think a lot has changed in the past 6 months as I mentioned in the preview. A little effort from the club is seeing big effort from the fans. The club seems to have had a shot in the arm, just hope it converts onto the pitch.

Thanks Chris, just to clear my new flag up a bit for the benefit of Hogan and Catalancs, the flag is a dig at "the blue half" if anything, when we had all this "Wigan's turning blue" rubbish, we replied with "Wigans staying RED" yes, thats RED, as Cherry is a shade of red, also cherry and white would'nt fit across the flag. Thats why it says "RED SINCE 1872" because it has been, and always will be.

I hope we can have the front 5 rows for flags as well, that would be brilliant.

I'm starting a petition to have this factually incorrect flag removed from the stadium.

Take no notice mate. It looks quality and the message is obvious enough!! Like the red, white, black design, think i will use that if/when i get another one done! Good effort!!

Just to add a little more fuel to the fire, remember the days of the "Red Army" cants at CP. They use to last for ten minutes. Wouldn't have sounded the same with "Cherry Army".

Not going to happen, questioned it last night and for various reasons the club won't allow it.

I believe this is the right decision given the nature of the clubs concerns. (Not going into them here but I will expand further at the next meeting if anyone wants me too?).
