| The legend that is Rob Smyth used to go to Rosebridge, he was in the year above me.
Melvin Alker is a mate of mine and as far as i am aware he is still at Blackpool.
Stephen Wild was at John fisher but he played fullback in the same RoseBridge sunday team as me. I think that Danny Sculthorpe may have also played there for a while (i remember a Big nowty get for a period of time!!)

| Hawkley Hall had a good set up last year with Ryan King and Stefan Marsh(year before) going into the Wigan academy
A lot went off to different clubs such as Alex Marsh, Stuart Banks and some others
Andy Farrell also went there.

Certainly did! Don't forget the younger Farrell twins, Andy and Phil who were signed by Wigan. Phil went on to play for Oldham and Rochdale.
Stoke captain, Andy Griffin was in same year as Newton, one above me.

Was he a very fast winger who played in the same Wigan / Leigh service area as Ian Thornley?
Where did he go?

| I think so, not sure if he got signed and dropped since he broke his leg towards the end of year 11. But yes, he would have played for Service Area no doubt.
We also had James Rimmer who was a good player, played at Prop/Loose Forward. Kept popping his shoulder and I think it ended his hopes.

Also Neil Budworth went to St Peter's (I think) started off for us who is now at Celtic via Harlequins.
'"
Budworth went to Rainford High, one of the well-educated Billingers .
I played against him at Primary School (think he went to Chapel End) level and was glad to be on his side at Secondary!!

He did, in my class all the way through from infants. Ged Stazicker also went to Our Ladys & St Joes like Clarkey and Pete.
