My thoughts too. Yes CP was a loss but let's be real. This is 2009. CP was antiquated and in this modern era of Super League, if we want to be taken seriously to the masses we need to have new, modern stadiums like Robin Park, Galpharm, KC, HJ etc

Ever heard of planning? There are planning restrictions that does not allow a second stadium in the town, so to that point, jog on.

As to personal worth I believe IL is a mile in front having said that my one brain cell has not the QI to work out how to ask for both his and DW's accounts(which i am sure they will happily supply if I did), so it's just something I believe to be true. For some reason i think I saw an article stating IL as the 50th richest man in the UK and I know DW is no where near that.

Is there? Since when? Just thinking of this town specifically we have had 2 stadiums in Central Park and Springfield. Just looking towards other towns and cities: Manchester, Leeds, Bradford, Hull, Twickenham etc

All of which are cities, excepting Twickenham which has probably got around probs with one of the grounds being a national stadium (and RU bias ofc). But if you think there is any sense in building another stadium in Wigan when neither team can fill the one we already have on a regular basis, get your hand in your pocket, get the plans passed through, and get another stadium built.... Get back in the real world for goodness sake.

I didn't say there was any sense in building another stadium (although if I had the money I would), I was merely pointing out an inaccuracy in London Robster's post. Well done on misreading the post though.

The inevitable has finally happened.

IL and his administration have been slagged off for everything under the sun since taking over. Bit by bit, they've clawed their reputations back with various astute moves. But now they're finally the brunt of a criticism I doubt even Messrs. Lenagan, Hogan, Maguire, Wane etc, all working together 24/7, will be able to correct - those lousy barstewards have still not given us a stadium to outshine the DW!

I think only one or two have suggested that and one of them was a Wire .

I was merely speculating as to whether it can be done (if finances allowed) with regards to planning permission. I genuinely don't know. I'd like to find out though in the unlikely event of me winning the Euro millions (extremely unlikely though considering I never buy a ticket).
