39110_1363272058.jpg Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot
Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good
-
sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league
-
Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate
-
the flying biscuit..Wires havent been massively succesful over the years, but I've spoke to Brian Bevan And he spoke to me and i wouldnt swap that for Wigans History, ever
-
Ande..on the TV i could only hear the Wigan fans with about 10 to go
-
Saint94..Every team is in your feckin shadow, we all know

The quote is £105. It's hopefully between 3 of us. We are only students. It will look pretty class anyway. Just having 'RL' rather than 'Rugby League' will not make it any worse.
Is there any place cheaper?

| ################### Swinley No15 (Old Gems) Wednesday 19th May 8pm #######################
I am pleased to announce that Next week we will definately have Wigan Rugby League's Marketting Director Simon Collinson in Attendance.
For those of you who aren't aware Simon was the first person JimmyBirts spoke to from the club about the Flag idea.
Not only did Simon embrace this idea but he actually championed it within the club and has arranged many promotional ideas to highlight our cause on many fronts. This included contacting local press, arranging Photshots, putting an article in the program and on the Website plus many more.
He has also done a lot of the "Hard graft" and was one of the original "Erection Section"!
He also is the person that takes the flags down and keeps them safe over the days & Weeks they aren't being used.
It is not an exageration to say that without Simon this venture would not have been possible!
Simon contacted myself today to confirm his attendance and also has all the updates on our requests to the club regarding Phase 2 and all the other questions put to the club a couple of weeks ago!
I'm not going to spill the beans on all the updates, it's down to all you guys to get down there Next Week and hear it for yourselves, but lets just say we have quite a lot of positive responses from the club with regards to expanding this idea further!
Simon will also be available for a shortish Q&A session after the Flag Business is concluded and if anyone would like to ask questions with regards to Marketting etc at the Club please feel free to PM me them in advance if possible and I can make sure they get asked and Simon has the answers for you!
Finally, I would just like to say that at our last meeting we had 4 or 5 new faces and it provided an extra stimulous to the Meeting that I am hoping will continue with an injection of a few new faces Next Week.
Please feel free to tell all your friends & other fans to get down there and make it another great evening!
For those of you concerned that it may be a bit of a Stuffy event please don't, it's very very informal and I can Gaurantee a lot of Laughs & some Wonderful stories!

| Can you explain where abouts this location is please? Where shall I aim to go near to get to it as Im not sure of the whereabouts around there.
Also me and my mate are getting our flag done in the next few weeks, so it will be another flag to add if theres space for it, if not we will just use it for selected games etc. Were just trying to scratch up funds now.

I will look to the moment, and miraculously, the future will take care of itself.
Radio 5 Live, Sat, April 14th, 2007,...Dave Whelan, "In Wigan, rugby will always be king"
'I was certain, positive, convinced, and yet..........unsure'

| Quote: Jimmy Birts Lives On "Look on Barmy's site and put the details into the flag maker feature they have on there. Dead easy. Personally, I'd go for Wigan Rugby Club than RL if I was getting that done. As in the song. Cost you about an extra £15 for the extra letters.
I'm with 21-12 on the text/picture debate. I prefer text although don't mind a few picture ones.'"
IMO we need a mix of both, some great idea's for either by people on here, but we need the money to back them up, theres a lot of good work being done by posters on here and by the club, get down to the meeting on Wednesday if you can, Simon's a top bloke and has really took this project to heart, and the next phase is worth hearing about.

| There was a big flag at the Atletico Madrid V Fulham game last night. It was in Spanish but translated it read, "Watching with all our heart" Or words to that effect.

| Odemwingie,
I modified the image, so there are options for the size of the Wigan line. The middle one was the original suggestion.
