| Just watched it again, cold light of day, if Hock had done this people from Warrington would be screaming for an 8 match ban. Cowardly, thugish action should be a 2 match ban to send out a message... for what its worth i thought Eric was lucky not to get a yellow for running in on Sunday for us... Little bit of balance for you....

So did I. Though it was only a push, that was a long way to run to get involved in something that didn't concern you.

Luckily for him it didn't escalate from there. I think that's what saved him from a yellow.
H got a 'cruncher*' tackle about 2 mins before the Eric incident. He was furious with the touch judge for not spotting it and was holding his neck for the next few minutes. I'm surprised that didn't get picked up.
*It's the one when the ball carriers chin is pushed into his own chest forcing the back of the neck to stretch. Typical Aussie coach tactic.

| People have obviously received a red hot poker up their ring for what Bridge did here and it's hilarious to read some of this loser material.
Fundementally, it looked a lot worse than it was, and it amazes me that some feel a lengthy ban is in order when there was no contact with the head. Don't get me wrong, I don't condone him dropping down on Jeffries like that, and having been at the game on the night, I thought a sin bin would have been the best approach to calm him down. It would have certainly offered Bradford a little justice. But it wasn't a red, no way. If he'd landed on his jaw I'd have gladly watched him walk. So a 1 game ban for intent perhaps.
One thing I will admit however, is that the Referees' current inability to deal with matters in real time is quite astounding.

How dare we have an opinion!!!.... If it had been Hock, would you feel the same way about the incident?? And you can shove your poker up your own buddy...

If Hock had gone down with the elbow in the chest, I wouldn't have even commented to be honest. And I don't begrudge opinions, the fact remains, Bridge was clumsey for what he did, but the way some people are carrying on across these forums is hilarious.

What's equally hilarious is how relieved you clearly are. My Warrington-supporting neighbour felt sure Wire were going to lose Bridge's services for about 2-3 weeks. Face it, you've been very lucky. Other players have been suspended for far less.

now your making it sound like he tripped over his own feet. Either way it was illegal and there was intent in what Bridge did. Moa got a couple match suspension for somthing that is legal but was mistimed. However I think 1 match is too soft and 2 is too harsh so probaly a 1 match ban and £500 fine.
But if I was a coach my tactic against Wolves is run at bridge. You'll get penalties every set.

| Look at their next three fixtures. He'll get at least one game, possibly two, but definitely not 3.

How can an incident be worth a 1 match ban but not a red card? That doesnt make sense. If a player is banned for a game then his team get to play with a full quota of players in the game of the offence and the following game?

You have to understand the Disciplinary procedure. Early plea, 1 match ban. It's hard to appeal against something you've pleaded guilty to.

There are 29 pages on the VT about something similar. Personally I think he should have been off. However he wasn't. Unfortunately life in general isn't fair.
