And always from Saints fans, who, like Melbourne, cheated to win trophies and broke the cap more times than ANY other team, even Bradford.
Yet, strangely, it's always [iWigan[/i that are thought of when the term "Salary Cap Cheats" is banded about.
Is our PR machine THAT good?

It's called the Bible. You should readeth the gospel of St. Joel chapter 6, verse 11:
And those who followeth me into the fight shalt be rewarded with a one match ban and a shortness in the pocket of 200 golden coins.
But haveth patience my followers, it is not until the month of October until the real silver is won. The messiah named Michael shalt lead us once again to the promised land. The rugby gods have foretoldeth it.
Here endeth today's lesson.
Amen.

51755_1278208957.jpg Attention Dire fans and trolls: NOT on the bandwagon, despite the join date. Those of us who were forced to watch Dennis Moran play in Cherry & White deserved to see Lockers lift that trophy at Old Trafford.

I will look to the moment, and miraculously, the future will take care of itself.

'I was certain, positive, convinced, and yet..........unsure'

| And the Lord said.."I shall test the faith of my chosen people by giving them a garment to wear that will cause much wailing and gnashing of teeth, if they walketh the earth in these robes, and are not afraid, then surely, they are the exalted ones." And it came to pass that these people did wear the apparel, and were not afraid, and more-so, even rejoiced in the wearing of it, for they are proud and noble people, and thus, surely are 'the chosen ones'.........amen.

And Lo, it came to pass that the garment was pink. And the people raised their voices, saying: "WTF?" It should be as white as the fleece of a lamb, and as cherry as the fruit from the cherry trees.

| Quote: Poyser11 "I agree, I was always frustrated when we finished first and lost the GF (twice in a row) and never got a mention, its clearly the more difficult achievement and more impressive IMO. It's stupid that fans of teams that finish 1st and don't win the playoff series are forced to consider it a poor season.'"
Maybe it's up to us, as fans, to make sure it is recognised. If it's important to the fans of the game then TV (and therefore the game as a whole) will have to acknowledge this. Ultimately it's us, the fans, who TV are trying to appeal to. Maybe we should start by not referring to it as 'the hubcap' which, to be totally honest, embarrasses me a a Rugby League fan. We have plenty enough fans of other sports (union and football in particular) more than ready to talk down our great game without doing it ourselves and helping their cause! Maybe the RFL could help too by awarding a trophy (perhaps the old league champions or premiership trophy?) to the league leaders. Then again I don't actually have any faith in the people who run our game, so perhaps I won't hold my breath!

If you don't bother to go to the game when you live in the locality then you are not really a fan and therefore your views are invalid. It's simple.:icons39ad_files/4821-1859san_c-msnicons.jpg |

39110_1363272058.jpg Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot
Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good
-
sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league
-
Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate
-
the flying biscuit..Wires havent been massively succesful over the years, but I've spoke to Brian Bevan And he spoke to me and i wouldnt swap that for Wigans History, ever
-
Ande..on the TV i could only hear the Wigan fans with about 10 to go
-
Saint94..Every team is in your feckin shadow, we all know
