Wigan are the team to beat this year.Wire go in to this game underdogs its Wigans to lose.The talent you have in your backs should destory Wires backs.Richards should kick every goal because he is imo the best in Sl at what he brings to the team.

Can't see Wigan being caught at the top of the league, and they will be favourites for Friday's game. As a Wire fan I will be looking for a good game, good atmos and perhaps an upset. We haven't been playing well despite getting wins.

Well counting chickens before they are hatched is always a problem. At the moment we are safe in the top 6 as there are 12pts to play for and we are 13pts clear of Huddersfield.
If we win on Friday and that is a BIG if as i think it will be a very tight game we can go 6pts clear with only 10pts to play for. I would then be confident of a top 2 finish. The big round is 24 when we play Leeds and Warrington play Saints the week before the CC semi we win this and i think we will finish top.

My maths says that if we win our next two games, we only need either the same or a better result than Wire in Rd24 to guarantee 1st place. We will need to wait 24 hours though to see the result of the wire game. That could be a big incentive for them if we slip up at Headingley.

We have all become a little civil, what on earth is going on ?

If we win on Friday 1st is sealed in my view. We won't lose a six point gap with five to play. Ok Hull and Leeds are tough away games but it'd be even worse for Wire if they lost to Wigan they'd be facing a sweaty trip to Catalans (they'll do really well to defend like we did out there) before trying to get 10 monkeys off their backs at home to St Helens, then facing a cup semi.

Even if we lost on Friday I'd still be confident of retaining first place. Every time Wire have got the gap back to within two points they've quickly lost it. France next week is really not what they want because I think the french will be wanting to lay down a big marker for the cup semi.

For those reasons I think its a massive game for Wire. I would not be surprised if they crumbled if the result doesn't go there way on Friday.
