Too right.

Had the tackle been the other way and Coley was on the receiving end, the very same people would be demanding a firing squad for Fakir.

It wasn't the other way around so your argument is null and void. You don't know how people would have reacted.

I’ll say it again people are just being incredibly soft on this whole incident but they will be the first to moan in a few seasons when we end up looking as pathetic as football.

Fair play to childs for sending hom off - most refs bottle it and put it on report.

2 match ban is fair enough too - swinging arm right round the chops, took him off his feet.

As mentioned earlier though it is the inconsistency with the rfl that is the problem. just one obvious example;

Peac*cock on sam - swinging arm, right round the chops, took him off his feet - pretty much identical. Result = penalty. How Coley's was a sending off and two match ban worse than that is impossible to know.

Plenty of other examples involving well known forwards with history..........

Trying to determine intent is pretty much impossible - you either hit someone around the face or you don't. No argument. End of Story.

Quote: Agent Mulder "The assistant coach went with him to plead for him. The panel took his previous into account as well. I think 2 games with the sending off was probably about right but he is very lucky it wasn't more.'"

Previous Record which included 2 from 09 season!!!

Ryan Bailey was also charged for an High shot and his record is awful! He was found guilty of hitting the neck - pen sufficient!!

They also state the referee got the decision right pretty sure Mr Bentham made the decision!!
I wouldnt mind if players had already got punished but Elima only got 1 game for an High shot against saints which caused injury!
Going off the back of being told from bentham that hitting the kicker late was a mandatory sin binning then it just being a pen sunday. The whole reffing and discipline set up needs looking and and making more black and white!!

No it's not. You only have to look at the bitching and whining about tackles such as Peacock's on here to see the double standards some people have.

Using your argument it's not football so your argument is null and void.

I know I’ve complained about the Peacock tackle as it shows the inconsistency in punishments for similar offences BUT I don’t think EITHER deserve any sort of ban for these tackles. I certainly wasn’t on here after the Leeds game screaming for Peacock to be banned for two games.

Maybe because Sam Tomkins took it like a man unlike Fakir.

the strange thing is a was drinking with a super league ref last night and his view was maybe 1 match although if it had been very early in the game sending off sufficient. very suprised at 2 matches and would think wigan would appeal.

but that is from a refs point of view not from the panel

Did Sam need to leave the field with concussion?

So still null and void then.

Because no two incidents are the same and if Coley's high tackle was not as bad as you are making out, Fakir wouldn't have concussion.

So we base sendings off on if an injury has occurred?

Where did I say that?

Coley's was a reckless attack to the head, hence why he got sent off, hence why Fakir got concussion. You don't get concussion unless you get a heavy blow to the head.

Both Coley's and Peacocks tackles made contact with the head which by Child's definition of the rules is a straight red. If one was a tap to the head and the other was a fully fledged blow to it it would make little difference.

Anyway this thread has died a really slow death.

For me it’s a pathetic decision made by an incompetent ref and there is a real worry on my part that the game is going soft. Your opinion seems to be that it’s the worse tackle that’s ever been committed on an RL pitch.

I can’t be ar$ed arguing anymore.
