The truth is as I recall, finch on debut after a long time out, Richards didn't play cuz he was still recovering from his injury, our pack was very much lighter and weaker back then. Fielden didn't play, hock was still banned and we didn't have cross. I'd say that finch is a completely different player now, our pack is a whole lot bigger and stronger and we are much more settled in 3/4's with carmont and richards both in good form and Joel and Charnley building their partnership.
It should be a blinder and either team can win it. I'm going for a Wigan win, 26-18

i actually think there is no pressure on Wigan at all. we are the team who is mouthing off saying we want this for MM etc, but to be fair, its a home game for wire, they are the current cup holders and we have recently toppled them from the top spot in the SL. for me, all the pressure is on wire to turn up on the day. all wigan have to do is match them; something we didn't do last time round at the DW Stadium but to be fair we had a slightly weaker side then and were struggling for any kind of champion form.

as saturday comes, both teams have an equal chance to win the game, as any side would, but its much more even in terms of form if you ask me and i think we will have the mental edge this time round.

not sure about wigans' team, but are wire still without briers or morley (i doubt it?)

The Wigan side was weaker, there is no denying that.

If anything I think Wire will have the "mental edge", they beat us convincingly last time we played.

I think there is pressure on both teams, Wire to retain the cup and beat the team that they are clearly in competition with in the league, and Wigan to beat their closest rivals (currently, in terms of league standing and quality) and to advance in a competition that has helped make the club as famous as it is now.
