They will go through the entire list of OOC players! Surprised they have not reported that they are trying to talk Radlinski out of retirement.

Luke wasnt a patch on Tommy in the 4 Nations and New Zealand were noticibly weaker when Luke came on for Tommy.

| Tommy is not a 9 despite all the hype. I agree he does show up well there every now and again, and has shone to be fair when used there for the Kiwi's but those performances are few and far between.
Luke is a natural hooker.
We badly miss a natural hooker, I think people are realising just how good Piggy was for us now he is gone and no natural replacement.
Hooker for me is the single most important player on the pitch, they have become the people that control the game over the halves. Without a natural hooker we often find ourselves without the field position we have found ourselves in, in the last 2 years with a natural controlling 9 at the helm.

I absolutely agree, a 9 has to be the priority along with a centre for next year, unless we can sign a organising 7 which would allow Tommy to play 9 full time. We need a strong piece of recruitment in one of those positions for next season along with a centre.

I totally agree that we need that sort of hooker but from what I have seen of Luke he is not that type of hooker either and is much more similar in play to someone like Tommy than a hooker like Riddell.

| Never understand the bagging Tommy gets at 7, and all this he is a better 9 stuff comes from. I personally think he was shaping up very well as a 7 getting better every year (lets not forget he is still young despite how long he has been about). Would be happy for Tommy to see his career out as a 7 at Wigan, not at 9 though for me.
If we are going to play him at hooker long term, we may as well bring in a specialist hooker.
Quality hooker and centre are the priority for me the way I see the team being utilised ie with Tommy as our long term 7.

Perhaps in style (ie bursts from dummy half and bags of impact) but he leads his team round the field and sets up the plays like a natural hooker. This for me is what Tommy struggles at as a 9. We look lacking direction at times trying to set up filed position for a play coming 3 or 4 tackles down the line with both Tommy and McIllorum at 9. Something that seemed effortless with Piggy at 9, its as noticeable for me as when Newton left and was replaced with Higham.

thats spot on jon, you only have to look at how leeds dominated us at headingley a few week back. on paper we were the stronger side by some way but Buderas tore us apart, controlled the game and it nearly cost us. Wigan need a Danny Buderas. We get that we will continue to win trophies !!!

16304_1526976105.jpg [size=100:2md8k3b3][b:2md8k3b3]'Do you remember when we had that meeting in Orlando? We talked about how we were knocked out the previous year by Leeds. And at the end, I asked you one question. "Do you want to be a semi-final team? Or do you want to do something special?" You all said you wanted to win. But talking is easy – it needed you to believe. It needed you to work hard – harder than you had – and make sacrifices. You did all that. you worked for each other. You stuck together when it was tough. And because of your efforts, you sit here tonight as champions. I'm proud of you. Be proud of yourselves. You've done something special.'
