| Quote: Rogues Gallery "As I posted the other day, Wigan have more playing and coaching staff than St Helens. So how are they scrimping?'"
More doesn’t mean better, they might have someone who goes around pumping balls up, another checking the pressure of the balls afterwards and a supervisor who does the QC on their work.
To not update your website about what the club is about if you are a sports team is pathetically poor, it should be done season by season at the very least but it’s 4 years out of date.
Imagine if Saints were saying the same about Cunningham as their coach with overseas players Travis Burns and Mose Masoe, or if Man Utd has their website as Louie Van Gaal still listed as coach with Captain Wayne Rooney, Memphis Depay and Bastian Schweinsteiger.
The club is being run by well meaning ex players who know rugby but not the off field side of things, from top to bottom. This is where they are scrimping, instead of going out and getting the right people with the experience needed.

If you click on the Visit tab rather than the Club one, and then go to About Wigan Warriors, you'll see the version I posted upthread.
So they actually have two different and incorrect versions on the same site!

| I can't believe anyone still defends the way the club is being run. Who gives a s!!! how many staff Saints have on their books! I care only about the quality of the work done by the individuals employed by Wigan RL and at present, it is hugely substandard across the board.
A fan on match day is probably worth £20 to the club.
£20 x 1,000 fans x 14 games = £280k extra revenue annually.
1,000 more fans = the difference between a profit and a loss? The wage of a marque player?
We have an ageing fanbase, where's the next generation coming from?

Our chief exec is an ex-rugby player in a suit, not a savvy business operator.

I’ve got nothing against Rads and what he does, he could do a good job as part of the club, the issue is that there’s a lot of unqualified and inexperienced people working for the club but have only got those jobs because of their former playing career, which isn’t working, there needs to be someone from outside come in maybe someone who has done good work in another sport and work wonders at Wigan.
Did we ever replace Simon Collinson? Did we replace Mick Hogan? Did we replace Paul MacLeod?

When you have Simon Moran as owner, marketing isn’t going o be something you struggle with.

You'd have thought so, but there hasn't been a great deal until recently. Wolfies antics at St Helens and at the darts in Liverpool, plus the initiatives for the London and Salford home matches to try and get some juniors/families in, shows that the club is making an effort. How prolonged this will be is anybodies guess.
Historically, the three eyed fish depicted in the Mersey near Fiddlers Ferry on a poster, brought some attention, for the wrong reasons, from the folk of WA8. Otherwise, not a lot springs to mind.

| Why all this about Wire etc doing so much better than us?
Like when did they last win the Cup or the League. Sorry I do know when they last won the League, it was 1955.
We are where we are right now and when we get our starting 17 players back results will improve. Who would bet on us not making the top five end of the regular season?
