Warrington will feel confident after yesterday though. There’s a lot more of their players to come back into that team than there is for Wigan.'"
True Stu, but the counter argument is that a lot more of their players didn't have one eye on Wembley and also didn't have anything to lose. It was interesting that we won that game only playing for 15 mins or so and that Warrington never broke us down and could only score through kicks. If we'd been playing a mid table side, say Salford or Huddersfield, and won like yesterday I doubt anyone would have any comments other than "one eye on Wembley".
The narrative was changed because of the opponents and the young kids playing but it's not the first time a group of kids have put in a good performance. It won't have much bearing on the final.
Having said that it will definitely have a feel good factor for Wire but equally it will focus the minds of Wigan in a similar way to Hull KR a few weeks ago or, indeed, the semi final loss last year.
My main concern is more about the potential bans. We have definitely lost our kicker who is in good form and that's a blow. I hope you're right regarding Dupree but at least we have cover there. A bigger worry though is O'Neil. It was a nothing push and in other times it wouldn't warrant so much as a mention. Unfortunately we're no longer in "other times" and we've seen sanctions for this sort of incident before. Not convinced it's worthy of a ban but you just never know.

Oh without a doubt Wigan will be more focused as a result. I actually had a bet on Wigan to win at 12-0 down as the odds were 4/5 which were very good.
I’m looking forward to the Final. I’ve said before that I think Burgess is building something good there and they’ve got more than a good chance. Wigan will be favourites and rightly so but I don’t think there’ll be many points different at the final hooter.

Definitely not much in it as you say. They've pace to burn too so the advantage we would normally feel on Wembley's wide open spaces is gone to some degree. As good as they've been defensively I think it's fair to say ours is better so if the game was tight I'd back us to win it. In fairness, probably as close to a 50/50 game as you'll see provided it's not decided by a red card or something.
Good bet! I thought we'd come back once we got into a rhythm but I'm not sure I'd have put my money where my mouth is!

I’ve started to do this recently with rival teams of RL and football. If they are losing the odds obviously increase and the way I see it it’s like a win/win!
I don’t bet large enough that I’d miss it and if they lose I’m still happy but if they win (usually do) then it’s easy money.

| Does every entrant into the Halliwell Jones need to get checked out by a sniffer dog, or just the away fans?
Never experienced this at a match before.

Pyro dogs
We had a new security firm on the gates this year, bit over zealous but we had a load of scrotes the last 2 seasons with smoke bombs, I got a full pat down the first 4 home games, despite being a boring looking mid 40s bloke

I agree with this. In fact I'm more confident about next week now that I would have been had we drilled them fifty nil.

| Our discipline is generally ok.
We lost the pen count 11-4 because we were away from home.
The pen count won't be much different between the teams at Wembley.
Usually we win the pen count at home and lose it away from home.

Thanks. That never occurred to me, tbh.

You're right to some extent, Ted, but I thought our discipline was poor yesterday. Home team advantage of double might be expected but that penalty count was almost 3 times that of the home side. We were a little sloppy and, as Peet said, lazy in our application yesterday and I think that was reflected in the discipline. Too many avoidable errors and penalties.

| Nobody’s mentioned the Tai tackle, Walters and Ellis got a ban for less.

I think that Warrington were confident before yesterday Stu. Who have you put your money on next week?

Drinkwater was probably worse Zig. The disciplinary will be interesting. I'm hoping they go lenient across the board or the final could be severely impacted.

If O’Neill is banned then Musgrove will face suspension as well. Absolutely nothing in either of those tackles.
