| We've not been great, but let's not pretend that every 50/50 decision hasn't gone to York.

Really? I think we got some key set restarts, and that penalty against York when they were in possession could have easily gone against us.

Okay. I'll give you that sole incident.
And that last up and under.

| Boring stuff really - Wigan haven't needed to get out of second gear.
Defence our strength as always. Far too many errors though. Hastings by far the best player on the pitch, Halsall went well, probably time to drop Hanley.

I didn't want to be the first to say it but yeah, good game from Halsall, the usual 3 errors from Hanley. Give Halsall a go on the wing next week if we don't have French back.

| Job done. No injuries. Another 80 mins in the legs. Did what was needed.
What were you expecting people ????

| Surprised to come on here and see such negative comments.
Thought it was a reasonable and very professional performance against a very spirited York side.
We were a bit scrappy in attack but another change in half and new body in the backs it was bound to be a little off.
Defence outstanding, didn’t look like we picked up any injuries into the next round and never really got out of third gear.
Very professional job.
Concern for me now is Hanley. Despite probably having his best game those repeat errors are becoming worrying. Bullock another very lethargic start to the match.
Positives, Havard looks to be developing that but if mongrel. Couple of shots on Cuthbetson tonight were brutal and Liam Byrne, Smithies and Bateman’s intensity in attack and defence is great to watch.
Look forward to sitting back and watching the other teams knock 7 bells out of each other for the rest of the weekend with a view to our next fixture in SL.
Slightly OT Tony Rea is a great analyst. Best doing the rounds at the moment by far.

Yes it’s job done but you can’t hand on heart sit there and say you’re happy with what was churned out? Against a good side we’d have been on the end of a mullering. Just doesn’t seem to be any aggression in attack or ruthlessness, get into a good position and we make an unforced error or end the set poorly.
York should have been put to the sword and kept on the end of it. Instead they were allowed room to move and play. Against a good side that’s criminal and will end in us conceding tries.
Hastings MOM by some distance. I agree re Hanley though, his errors are just ridiculous and he will be a liability. It’s a huge shame but it’s not the end of him by a long shot.

| Still worried that we are not making meters in the forwards even against a semi pro outfit. We are just not giving the defenders a decision to make.

| I think we did what we had to do against a spirited York team. It’s a tick and job done for me. Defence was again impressive
