| I am a season ticket holder who donated the money but I’d go the other way and say that shouldn’t buy any advantage when it comes to tickets for those early games. Personally I would ballot tickets on a game by game basis in the early weeks of restrictions being eased, with an aim that everybody who wants a ticket gets to at least one fixture and then look to sell season tickets from that late June date, when all the restrictions on numbers should be lifted.
Everyone’s circumstances are different and some people will have needed that refund money on season tickets, some will have not had season tickets due to other commitments, some won’t be able to afford to pay out for season tickets and may just attend the odd match. There are all sorts of scenarios but I’d hate to think the club would risk alienating some supporters who didn’t give up season ticket money/didn’t have a season ticket by giving preferential treatment to those who did. The early fixtures should be a bit of a celebration of getting back to games IMO and I’d love to think every single person who would love to get to a fixture will get the chance to go to one.

It will only affect two home games (possibly/hopefully), I get what your saying but should those games be attended by some non season ticket holders the club will get a dogs abuse online.along the lines of.....
"My neighbour hasn't been to a game in five years he got a ticket to the match and I'm a season ticket holder who donated my refund and didn't get to go, why is this fair"
Can see it now.

| Surely they will give priority to the season ticket holders who didn't request a refund. A simple way to thank them at no cost to the club. Plus it would help limit the opportunity for touts, who may well be the real winners if the tickets are purely first-come, first-served.

I just don’t think it’s as simple as them (including me) being the most deserving. An example of a non season ticket holder would be My dad, he is 73 and has been watching the club home and away for 65 years. He doesn’t bother with a season ticket as in a usual year he’ll go away for the odd weekend with my mum, so tends to miss one or two games and he’s happy paying on the gate. He goes home, away, friendlies, over to France and so on and probably goes to 80-90% of games every season. He’s missing the games big time and can’t wait to get back. If they just say people who gave the money up are most deserving of a ticket then you could get a 13 year old kid, who got a ST to hang out with their pals but have no real interest in the club taking priority. It doesn’t sit right with me that. It’s just one example of many as well where the balance wouldn’t be right.
Ticket tours wouldn’t be an issue if they ballot them and only let previous ticket holders apply and then try and work it out that everyone in the ballot gets to at least one fixture.

| They said when refunds were done that those giving back their money would take preference.

Whilst acknowledging that tricky predicament, the opposite would happen but 10x times more if non ST holders were chosen ahead of ST holders, and especially with those who donated their money.
The only way it will be done is based on ST holders 2020 (not including the free kids ones)
I'm with the other poster who said that they wouldn't draw a line at those who donated first, because their could be many reasons why they asked for refunds, but I wouldn't be surprised if they did.
(PS, give him your ticket )

| Could be further complicated by vaccine passports. e.g. 25 yr old ST holder, gave up money of last years ST to club, not had jab by time you are allowed to attend matches again in May therefore can't attend.
Not me or any of my friends by the way. Hopefully I'll be having my first jab in the next few weeks. Then again, might not have had my second jab by the time crowds are let back in the grounds

There won't be a vaccine passport system until everyone has been offered one (or at least it won't apply to those who haven't yet been offered one). Just my view.

That’s the only fair way to do it.
That’s probably why the Tories won’t.

It’s tricky from all angles for sure. I just think there has to be a way of making it work to try and not alienate anybody. We’re not talking 20,000 people here. If we have two games for example prior to restrictions being lifted then we’d have about 12,500 tickets available over those games. If it is two games then I can see it would be fair to let the people who gave the money up have tickets for the first game but that second game could be opened up a bit more IMO. Maybe split it down the middle, half to ballot between those who gave money up and half to ballot between anyone else.
Try and get as many different people to those first couple of games as possible to help get people back in the swing of things and show all the fans they matter.

| If there's a game with 6k capacity and 2020 we had 8k season ticket holders then issue them by the normal way of doing these things.
First tickets go on sale to shareholder/season ticket holders.
Then to season ticket holders.
Should there then be any unsold the tickets go on sale to supporters
