| Quote: JonnyBroad "Makinson and Walmsley will go to the nrl, currie was nailed on to before his 2 bad injuries but i still think he will get there. The others you mention are not good enough to go. Think we all kniw that we have done well to keep george and sutty away from the nrl for a few years and won trophies with them here and batty would have been there sooner but for his little girl. All i can say is that we know george is going and personally i wish him all the best he has been great for us playing 6 with poop like matty smith and an over the hill tommy and half a season with powell. If he had played with say a trent barrett then he would have been even better, you watch him go over there.
Theres umpteen pages here on someting that has no sustance at all yet, its complete hearsay at the moment.'"
It’ll be interesting to see if Walmsley and Makinson go because they’ve just signed long term deals at Saints and they haven’t advertised any get out clauses.
As for the others I’m not sure how guys like Watkins (when fully fit), Clark, Lomax or Scott Taylor would be seen as not being good enough if players like Sutton and Williams are. I rate Sutton and I rate Williams but they’re no better then those guys listed (and in Suttons case he isn’t as good as guys like Scott Taylor, Chris Hill or Walmsley at the moment yet he’s been picked up).

| I'm glad IL didn't sign Gareth Widdop it was a wise decision. The dragons have done a great job of covering up his injury from last season. They moved him to full back so he could slowly & quietly be rehabbed without the tackling commitments that a half back makes. As soon as he got a tiny tap on his shoulder, it completely broke down. It was a good choice to stay clear.

It looks a concern for sure. I hear sometimes the Aussies coming out with comments that they can come here to prolong their careers as it’s not as demanding but that is surely arrogant rubbish. He will need to stop big blokes either here or in the NRL and at Wire he will be playing in the line at halfback as they won’t move Ratchford.

Sutton did not look out of place in yesterdays game played at 13 first 20 mins and last 20 mins nearly got a try, they must have seen something in Sutton to go for him.

I rate him as I say but to say guys like Hill and Taylor aren’t good enough for the NRL must be incorrect to my mind because Sutton looks pretty good down there and I’d say they’re currently better players.

They moved him to FB as he's no longer in the Dragon's future planning. The recurring shoulder problem is a big concern for me, and I just hope that he has more luck with it, if and when he wears the P&B.
Injuries are just part and parcel of the game, as you have experienced with Manfredi and Burgess, to name but two.

| Widdop with two dislocated shoulders would still be a better acquisition than Sammut. You 'steered clear' because you're potless....and by potless i mean skint not trophyless....you've got loads of them.

And you're not skint and yet ARE trophyless.
Which is the more admirable position, I wonder ... to do more with less, or less with more?
