I'd imagine the time to really worry about the direction of a club is when you have to fight against relegation more than once in three seasons.

My argument, in response to your fellow "Pie" is that in recent history Wigan are in no more a superior place to Leeds. You havent gone on to anything. You havent dominated anything. No more than Leeds have.
And we all know Rugby League didnt exist before 1996 so dont try that one  |

We've all had to fight for our Super League status at some point havent we, cough 2006 cough salary cough cap cough.
Nothing to be worried about over here. Id be more worried about our "Mr Wigan Himself" coach jumping ship and 2 of our best players jumping ship, one of who has now jumped twice and old man flanders lasting more than 30% of the season. Lenagan. Worra guy  |

Unconcerned about Leeds to be honest. They're a tough nut for us to crack at Headingley, but I can't see them making the play offs over the course of the season, so fairly irrelevant unless we get them away in the cup. London and Salford should be weak enough to keep them clear of relegation. I hope the disparity between their expectations and the reality doesn't result in good young talent released as we did in their situation in the early-mid 00s

Gildart was weak defensively, despite not missing a tackle.
Williams & Tomkins - Both halves were poor (or were just made to look poor by the Kiwi pair). Only occasionally threatened the line, kicking was generally poor and there was no game control at all from either of them.
And the best
Bateman - p%%% poor game. Defensively weak, dropped balls, impersonating a statue for the Kiwi's 2nd try.
