| Samoa have had two players suspended for their "on report offences" last night. There are also reports in todays League Express of trouble with some of the Samoan team and French fans last week after a "late night" drinking session.

The ref should have given that first spear 10 minutes (at least) then maybe discipline from both sides would have been better. He lost control by taking the coward's way out & putting them on report.
I don't think it'll make much difference though, both Samoa & Fiji won't want to go home this weekend, should still be a good game. Both still fairly equal I think.

| Fiji v Samoa has appeared in the BBC 2 listings for next Sunday, be interesting to see the figures it generates up against the Scottish rah-rah's on BBC 1.

Conspiracy alert, but I'm strongly suspicious of the RFU's scheduling. Not just this weekend or putting an Ireland match on in Dublin & wrecking any possible turnout for the Limerick game. But the whole timing of the internationals seems designed to detract from the wall-to-wall publicity we could otherwise have expected.
RFL incompetence or RFU spoilers I don't know.

| To be grudgingly fair to the sticky-biscuiters, they play the Autumn internationals every year, although I'd agree on the England rah-rah's picking a 2:30 ko last Saturday. Having said that I was at my brother in laws who is an ardent rugger bugger last Saturday, and even he lost interest in their snoozefest and came to watch the WC towards the end.

| Is the Fiji game actually on? There was some talk of it just showing in some out if date listings because they'd included it 'just in case' England were playing in that game.
Fantastic stuff if it is on though. I'm going to the game and expecting it to be the game of the tournament to date.

My FreeSat schedule just has "PT109" on BBC2 @14:30. The game was there the other day, looks like they just blocked out the listing to work out which to show.
Shame they couldn't simply show it as one of the (potentially) best games of the weekend. Can't see the Aus or Kiwi games being anything but one-sided.

Likewise I'll be at the game and recording it on Premier regardless, but would be nice if it was on free to air. I'd also be surprised if it gets shown as well as the England game on Saturday.

The BBC must be nuts if they don't show it. Surely it would draw more of a crowd then whatever rubbish they have planned.
I'm looking forward to it more then the England game.

Only game of the round that registers as a contest, I've been to 6 games so far and not one has featured England! Can't say I'm particularly excited about going to the DW this week but sure I'll enjoy the game once there.
