As much as I don't like agreeing with you, I agree

| I'm just enjoying the thought of Wire fan's squirming around like Gollum with his object of desire stolen from his grasp........
Did not want to use the word "Ring" there...
If someone can make a pic of Gollum in a Wire shirt, reaching out to the Challenge Cup, that would be brilliant!!!

| Ring would have been more appropriate in terms of Grand Final ring. I think for Wire fans now the biggest hang up is over the Grand Final and not having won it with time running out for the current generation of players. It would have been great to win a fourth Challenge Cup and the occasion of the Challenge Cup is the best day of the year (IMO it still will be as Wigan v Hull, it's still my favourite match of the year). But the Grand Final is the one we haven't won and if we lose in the playoffs, the angst amongst the Wire fans will be bigger than losing on Sunday was.
It's easy to take defeat in your stride in something where you have had a lot of success recently. If we lose a playoff there will be a lot more anger and frustration.

The last time you were champions was 1955 so you'd think you'd have had plenty time to get used to the angst by now.

The Challenge cup is the better day out but the Grand Final is the big one IMO. With experiencing us winning both the GF of 2010 and then the CC of 2011 I definitely felt more satisfied with that GF win. It gives you a huge buzz, your officially the best team in the country and you get to play in the WCC.
I can't wait for Wembley and would love to win it but I'd trade it for a win at Old Trafford.

I’m sure there is arrogance at every club, even with those who have very little justification for it.

| I have always prefered the cc final but thats just a personal choice, our last grand final win meant so much at the time because of the emotion behind the premature loss of terry newton

| The real loser of tonight was rugby league.
Just shows what a farce the system is where the league doesn't count. If the league counted we would have beat them by 60 and would be top of the league by now but because teams like us and Wigan are saving ourselves for the playoffs we have to put up with these meaningless fixtures.
