| Quote: hula89 "So you feel good calling yourself champions knowing you've done it from 5th and been distinctly average all season but woken up for a few games? Don't be daft. 3rd isn't 5th either is it? And that wasn't under a ridiculous top 8 system. And if I'm not mistaken we were very close something like 1 point in it to 2nd that year you're a long way from the top 2 this year (9 points) it's not an attack on Leeds fair play you've found a flaw in the system and exploited it but its an attack on that flawed system which makes it possible.'"
There is no flaw in the system. No club has ever intentionally finished 5th. All aim for the top 2.
The only reason Leeds have managed to get there two years running from 5th is the way they have managed the squad, and the job of the backroom staff, i.e. Conditioners and medical team.
Stop the sour grapes and wake up to reality. Had it been a top 5 format, nothing would have changed over last two years. When the time has come to play off rugby Leeds have simply looked the best team in the comp, and they just wait and see now what happens on Saturday and whether they repeat again or not.
If fans feel there is such a problem with play offs deciding champions then there is absolutely no point in having them. What a shame, that the best points of the british game in the quality played at play off time, some excuse barrell scrapers would want removing.

Sick to death of hearing about the distinctly average Sinfield, how he is the greatest player ever to play the game. Im sick of the controversy and favourable and timely decisions by referrees and crucial times in games when it onvolves Leeds, Sick of the discliplinary hearings that are Heatherington influenced. Wire might gloat like hell if they win but out of the two teams they deserve it. Wore have actually been a very good side for some time and them winning will restore a little credibility. And finally out of the fans I have had some pleasent experiences with Wire fans, good banter and RL chat over a few pints. My experiences of Leeds fans is the complete opposite. Wire all the way.

Hang on a minute, have I abused any posters on your board or anything like that? I actually know a couple of posters on your board personally through the football and they are top guys, the fact I dont like your club is nothing to do with anything like that, I just dont like Warrington, like you dont like Wigan.

| People are saying that if Leeds win, it'll show that there is a flaw in the system that a team from 5th can become champions two years on the run. The powers that be will hail it as the complete opposite. We will all be told how incredible the playoff system is that a team from anywhere can win the competition. Hopefully the dwindling attendences at playoff games will show the RFL that it is a flawed system.
Why we went away from the top 6 system I'll never know. We just haven't got the strength in depth to support a top 8 system.

| Quote: 21-12 "Can't believe what I am reading.
Let me ask you all this...if the shoe was on the other foot who do you think Warrington supporters would want to win?
Have you all forgot about them turning up in Catalans shirts at the CC semi? The bile spouted all over the Internet by them. The constant droans of "who the f****ng he'll are Wigan" every time we go to the HJ?
I am telling you this, you may all want wire to win now, but once you see Lee Briers fat welsh head lifting the trophy you'll change your mind. We will never hear the last of it. There will be nothing worse than being at the DW and listening to them lot singing "we are the champions"
I can put up with Leeds winning stuff, I'm used to it. Warrington on the other hand......no thanks'"
Can't disagree with anything you say and the day of the semi final against Catalans was particularly bad - Catalan shirts for sale in the club shop, Briers wearing one, young children being sworn at and verbally abused as they left the ground and anything to hand being thrown at Wigan Fan's cars as they went down the A49. I live in Warrington but was never more ashamed to do so than that day.
I know a lot of Wire fans and have to say they are mostly ok and deserve some success after 57 years of waiting but the crew who have jumped on the bandwagon after their first CC success are a different kettle of fish. Saw one of what I thought was the normal breed of fan this morning and just said best of luck on Saturday and was met with "Not a problem we will batter Leeds" now there is such a thing as confidence but thought that was way beyond. In many ways they deserve to win but they'll also spend more time on this board than their own if they do and I can do without that thanks.

| Hard to decide; I wanted the Rhinos to win at Wembley just to see Sinfield pick up the CC, do not really care this time but I am edging towards the Rhinos again

Sorry pal, we mean well but it's written in stone......
Exodus 24
And the LORD said unto Moses, Come up to me into the mount, and be there: and I will give thee tables of stone, and a law, and commandments which I have written; that thou mayest teach them.
Rule Number one, Anyone but Wigan.

| To be honest if it was Wigan Leeds, I would go for Leeds every time. The only exception would be if Wigan were playing Saints.
