Very intelligent, ignore half the post and the bottom bit and try to look clever.
I asked whether you agree with no priority for games like Saints and Cup finals and your reply was "with 10.k season ticket holders" then yes. You say you want season ticket holders to get "first dabs" but how do you narrow that down to a 3k allocation for places like Saints? Thats when Away games come into it. To narrow the 10.5k ST holders down to 3k that are entitled to tickets, yes???

The way it is now broken down. First come first served.
We are a few days into the ST section now and have yet to FULLY sell out. We will sell out on ST holders, yes. But I am yet to know a ST holder who can't get one for Saints away. Those who really want one have done so already. Those who are half d and have done, have.
Those who haven't, haven't.
Those who can't afford it, I sympathise with. But they wouldn't have been able to afford it even with a priority for the number of away games they've been to.
There really isn't this big an issue in my eyes.

There is absolutely no chip. I was simply offended at the differentiation you where making on grounds of individual fans personal sitsutions;

That sentence suggests to me you think those of us who live at home with our parents have an easier life and have less chance of financial difficulties. Absolute guff, if that's what your saying.

| And to add
I haven't been a ST holder for about 4 years now due to financial issues.
I haven't failed to obtain a ticket for any match I've wanted (and decent seats) in that time.
There are means and ways if you want
It enough;
Other ST holders (there are plenty not going to Saints to lend a favour from)
Tickets via the other club (as I have done this time)
RFL services (as I did for Wembley & OT)
There are ways. It isn't a complete disaster. Never in my experience anyway and in the 4 years I haven't been a ST holder we've been more successful than for a very long time.

23997_1287161421.jpg
Great game of rugby league. Fantastic atmosphere, Wigan were breathtaking and dominant in all areas for the first 25 minutes, coupled with us making alot of dumb mistakes, then fortunately they brought McIlorum on which helped us back into the game. I thought some of the tries we scored to get us within two we're out of this world stuff. Towards the end we had to force it a little and we had a few things go wrong, i.e Monas kick on the first for King and Solomona going off who was causing havoc. Wigan were clinical in their eventual execution of us. Proud of Wire today and gave us a little glimpse to the future. Silverwood was awful as per, but I expect no less. Tomkins is a world class player and by far the best english player in SL. Wigan are a champion side and would be a worthy winner of taking our title as challenge cup. Good luck over the next month and a bit.
:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_23997.jpg |

| I'm sure Matt will be on soon to tell us what a complete and utter ballache and waste of time any kind of loyalty system is.
As someone who doesn't have a season ticket or membership card, the last game I couldn't get a ticket for was the 1995 CC Final and ended up watching it in a boozer on Wembley High Street. The cost, hassle and heartache of setting these kind of things up makes it completely pointless in RL given how easy it is to get tickets generally.

Correct
Plus I can imagine how complicated it's going to get when we get to a Final or an all seater venue and me with "X" loyalty points can't get a ticket next to my wife how has less or more loyalty points and my kids etc etc etc
Then there's mates who can't sit together because each of them has differebt amounts of loyalty points etc!
I hate to agree with Saddened but as he says on the Saints board we're 4/5 days after they went on sale and there still selling them at Saints and Wigan? If anyone hasn't got one I'd pretty much back some of the others who have said they probably didn't try hard enough and mopre importantly Soon Enough.
Nothing wrong with the system as it is IMO

The loyalty scheme already exists in as much as season ticket holders get first shout on tickets, and then Loyal 18 members get a chance before they go on general sale. As it is, I genuinely can't remember any previous game selling out to season ticket holders only (someone please correct me if I'm wrong), and even if that happens with this particular game it's not as if they've flown out in a matter of minutes, nor will there be quite the same demand once the 'first game' factor has gone, not to mention whether Saints get the East Stand capacity raised back to it's original figure in future. Putting more restrictions on the sales would simply mean more people buying through the home club/RFL for these sorts of games which may then affect future allocations as Wigan's official sales would then be deemed to be lower.

Finals are slightly different as every ST holder is guaranteed a ticket. The problem can arise with low allocation tickets.
We've sold out twice now I believe of adult tickets and have had to ask for more. Add to that that people can buy them from St Helens, and there will be a ST holder/regular game attendee who doesn't get a ticket. and Yes it has happened before, why do you think I'm so for the idea.

And the same tickets that we have sold out of were on sale at St Helens to anyone who bothered to get them?
PLUS
Of course if 10,000 ST holders want a ticket for this game they're not going to get one, but that has applied to every fixture since time began.
Anyone who wanted one and was bothered about getting one up front got one, true or not?
EOTD there's a limit on how many tickets Wigan get through the club, tell me at what point does this "Loyalty" scheme mean that we get MORE Tickets? If it doesn't that means that the same amount of Wiganners will be there just potentially some slightly different ones! And the ones who don't get them this time will moan about not getting one and will want that system changed!
So why doesn't someone start a thread and ask those that haven't got tickets but want one why they didn't get one from Saints?
Make sure though you put a time limit on when they can complain about this because if they start moaning in the week leading up to the game it's completely irrelevant!
Seems like a hell of a lot of fuss for Nowt!

| We bought the Loyal 18 membership as we live 100 miles from Wigan and due to work commitments cannot always attend every home game, so a season ticket is not practicable. With the half price magic weekend tickets it saves you the price of the Loyal 18 membership so it's a bit of a no-brainer in that respect. We sold the spare handbook and season review DVD on Ebay and with the £2 per ticket savings on match tickets we feel as if we have a good deal. The only problem with the system is that you have to ring the ticket office to take advantage of the saving - you can't buy tickets online and get the £2 discount. Oh, and we haven't received our actual membership cards yet and we were promised them before the first game of the season!
