Wheeler is very weak defensively too. That Saints left hand side is like a sieve.

If anyone still has the recording, have a look at Wheeler's interception, or watch it on the Superleague show. There are three Saints players Wilkin, Wheeler and Flannery yards offside at the play the ball.

| Brilliant. Just brilliant. The roof nearly came off the pub when he went in in the corner. And when the kick went over, blimey. Poor FIOS.

Saints fans really have no cause to complain about the ref because 2 of their other tries came from passes that were a mile forward.

To be fair the majority of Saints fans accept that there was much more to blame than the referee.
Personally I didn't understand the coaches lightweight pack selection against one of the biggest teams in Rugby League. I hope we don't make the same mistake next Sunday.

39110_1363272058.jpg Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot
Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good
-
sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league
-
Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate
-
the flying biscuit..Wires havent been massively succesful over the years, but I've spoke to Brian Bevan And he spoke to me and i wouldnt swap that for Wigans History, ever
-
Ande..on the TV i could only hear the Wigan fans with about 10 to go
-
Saint94..Every team is in your feckin shadow, we all know

We won't. No back or interchange hooker on the bench. We can just rotate the size. McIlorum will love next weeks game.

Thats true. Bosc on the wing is a big weakness for them, he is defensively awful and looks like a fish out of water playing there. I would be looking for us to use Goulding and Charnley, who have been such a threat so far, to attack him constantly.

| I got almost as excited as I do watching Wigan. That was a superb last 20 mins. How on earth people can prefer football over this wonderful sport I have no idea!

I've been watching Man Utd a decent amount of times. Every single time I've gone I've been bored out my tree as I've grown up watching live RL. Football isn't a patch on RL. I think the majority of football fans only follow it because of it's simplicity and the ease of understanding. RL isn't complicated but there are a lot more rules. Plus a lot of people are too soft to play it.

Simmons didn't seem to want to blame anything but the ref, in his interview with the Wigfinder General after the game: "I'll be talking to Stuart on monday..."

| I watched the try a few times. Just listen to the sound of the crowd as the ball is placed over the line. There are a few cheers, but you can hear a resounding "oooh", as the Saints fans realise what's happened.

| Simmons sounded very poor when saying he would be "talking to Stuart" on Monday. His team has let in 12 tries in the past two matches and he's blaming the refs and Stuart Cummings?
Saints fans seems far more aware than the Saints coach as to their current failings.
They have Huddersfield away next so that should be a good one to tighten the defence.

Brian,
anyone who is blaming the referee is an idiot. For what its worth he did make a few mistakes you can point at but doesnt that happen every week ? For me blaming the ref is for losers.
I have been to all our games this season and our defence especially on the goal line has simply been poor and it needs to be addressed. Last week at Craven Park we scored 36 points and were lucky to come away with a last gasp point. If you score that many points away from home you should expect to win, again Friday 34 points and lost that tells you all you need to know.
Whilst as a Saints fan Friday's result losing at the death was disappointing the fact that we blew a 26-8 lead is the real worry.
As for the manner of the final try and indeed Catalans fightback in a peverse kind of way it restored some faith in this game of ours that we like to call the greatest. I think the game has in many instances become robotic and boring with 5 drives or scoots and a kick. Wasn't it refreshing to see a team throw the ball about and play some great open rugby. The final pasage was the most exciting thing I have seen for years even though we lost. You still left the stadium thinking you had had more than your monies worth.
Im not too despondant its early days and we have seen a lot of rotation. I think once Royce decides on his best 17 we will improve.
Don't write us off yet !!

If you don't bother to go to the game when you live in the locality then you are not really a fan and therefore your views are invalid. It's simple.:icons39ad_files/4821-1859san_c-msnicons.jpg |
