| Quote: NickyKiss "The good thing about our support is not only is it as big as there is in rugby league it's now noisy but above all it's all just friendly banter. We could take 2000, 3000, 4000 fans to an away game and the police, pubs, shops, train staff etc won't have any problems between them. We give as good a backing to our side as any set of football supporters but don't feel the need to go round being a bunch of idiots.
That goes for the vast majority of rugby league supports around the place as well and it should always be this way.
Away days watching Wigan are great at the moment.'"
Too true and im sure the players will get an extra spring in their step when they see so many fans there making a racket cheering them on

You should have seen the look on their faces when they came out for the warm up at Widnes. The noise meeting them was the loudest I have heard us all season.

I was in the South and some of the Saints fans comments were nice and also some hilarious bitter ones too . I cant wait for next season and be in the same end again at away games. Been electric atmosphere at games this season and it will get even better i reckon.

Instead of being at the back of the South stand IMO I think the Brigantes would be more effective at the front of the South stand the glass roof stifles the noise .Try for one match and see how effective it is ,at the East stand corner then the East stand can join in .

Usually being closer to roof helps the noise at stadiums from the ones ive been to. Plus being at front would possibly cause a shedload of aggro with people who just want to sit and watch if theyve got flags blocking their view.

So we're excited about 2012, but imagine how excited the players are now, wanting to get back on the field to hear us again!

The noise from the North stand is far greater because it has a [sizesolid roof [/sizeyou can have 200 people in there and it creates more noise than the South partial glass roof .
I have Sat in the East towards the North Stand and you could not hear the South at all now moved now to the Wigan end on 30 metre line and the noise is not great from the South if the Brigantes occupied the side wing and moved to the front nearest the East stand would not cause much aggro as you would all be in the same area try for one match .

| The North stand does have much better acoustics but if everyone was singing like at away games then it would be flipping noisey.

Then can we not change to the North for home fans?Like I said previous the noise is lost from the South cos your too high up with the half glass roof it deadens the noise if you were to move to the front and use the end wing to the East stand just as a trial for one match then the East stand can get more involved.

Away games we are together not split into South .East and the West stands ,the East would rock if the South satand was at the front East side wing .

Thats up to the club and not us. The roof is plastic and not glass. We can't go at the front because of the flags and more noise can be made at the back. I don't really want to be at the front either, don't like the view for rugby...

| I can't get over how good our fans have been this season. I was speaking to a few Saints fans on my way out of the ground on Saturday and they were saying how good it was, and how annoyed they were that we've eliminated The 'Wigan Walk' (At away games anyway) I'm glad we're winding all the other fans up too. | The athmosphere and noise at away games is better because most of our fans stand together and usuallytravel in organised groups. As jaws1 posted at home games people have their own preferance of stand so the groups get split up .

| For all the Wigan fans that know me, sending this from my hospital bed at the Royal Oldham having undergone shoulder reconstrcton , it's all that flag waving this season ! the good news is I will be able to handle bigger flags next season. Know how Lee Mossop felt now. Going down to theatre could not stop singing " CHERRY AND WHITE " nurses had a laugh, not that I was !
Can't wait for next season already!
