Pressure on us whoever we pick due to us being at home and coming 1st.
If we are good enough to win it we should be able to beat anyone one at any stage.

No and the reason they usually say for doing so is it is the only way to avoid any kind of controversy which may spur a team on. With any luck this "tradition" of picking the lowest placed team will carry on year after year and the RFL will realise it is a waste of time and the idea can be quietly dropped. |

Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot
Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good

I say keep it for now. Sky sports news go live to the club call and talk about it for sometime after, not something we get very often in RL. |

Considering that was a monday morning about 11am anyway it was hardly peak time so we werent gaining much exposure! And that isnt happening this year anyway the club call is straight after our game sunday evening. I see Brian McDermott has just blasted the system.

As much as I think it is a bit ridiculous we have a top 8 system for a 14 team league, I can't see Sky wanting the number of teams competing in the playoffs changing, so I think the best bet is to revert to the same system the NRL use. Works well enough down under! |

Go back to the top five system, it rewarded the team that finished top by giving them a week off in round one, and then they only had to win one game to reach the final.
The top eight rewards mediocrity.
