I'm sure Mo still has nightmares about that. Bramley still have a team; so you jumped ship to the bigger club in your area?

I make no excuses for I have no need for excuses, I was in Birmingham all last week and got home at 7.30pm on Friday but even thats not an excuse because if I hadn't been in Brum all week I still wouldn't have ventured to Wiggin because, well, I couldn't be d.
Its a lifestyle thing, I'm sure its absolutely the most important thing in all of your lives to be "loyal" and "hardcore", probably has been since you were pre-pubescent (some of you may still be) and I'm sure you all buy the £40 nylon shirts every year and several hundred pounds worth of season ticket - you're a commercial manager's dream and they milk you for all you're worth, I wish I'd thought of it first.
Still, lets use words like "loyal" and "hardcore" to make you all feel better about yourselves *chortle*
As an attempt to justify why you weren't there supporting your team in their hour of need, this chunk of irrelevant guff doesn't cut it.
This conversation isn't about why Wigan fans support their team through dark times, it's about why Leeds fans apparently don't.
Try again.

No, they folded and for a couple of years had no presence but when the new club started up we were at the inaugural supporters meeting and then sponsored them for three years.
First game watched at Headingley was in 1966 so hardly "jumped ship" it is possible to watch more than one team indeed you see both Leeds and Bradford shirts at many Bramley matches.

Just a quick one! In 2004 how many games could you be d with and this season how many have you been d with?
My season ticket wasnt several hundreds of pounds worth, Leeds must be making a fortune out of you lot!

29th July take a look how many Wiganers go to Hull FC on a Friday night - that will tell you how silly your post was

Not on the M62 west bound I was on.
In the 11 years since moving to Leeds I've had one M62 traffic problem on a Friday night, so I just used the A65 instead. The "M62 on a Friday night" is one of the biggest urban myths going.

2004, I think that was the year I was a player sponsor so may have had plenty of tickets thrown in, don't actually know really the number of games attended each season isn't something thats ever been overly concerning to me, I tend to leave that to the 15 year old "hardcore" supporters

I work in Leeds and with one exception, when the motorway was closed at Ainley Top, it never takes me more than 2 hours and I leave any time between 4pm and 6pm.

It comes to something when you've got a forum moderator BOASTING that he isn't a loyal supporter.
But I suppose when you've run out of hiding places, where else can you go?
At least you're admitting it. What about all the many, many others?

Define "loyal".
I've supported my team for 45 years, still do.
So, define "loyal".

So despite dodging an answer you were d enough to sponsor a player in 2004 whilst not d in 2011!
But whilst knowing the number of games you will tend to know if you you went to the majority of away games or not compared to this season!
Who knows give it a year or 2 and you can be d again!

| You need to make sure all your vaccination shots are up to date before travelling from a successfull, vibrant metropolis like Leeds to a backwater like Wigan.
I didn't make the game as my time machine is currently broken, so I wasn't able to travel back to visit you in the seventies.
