Too many scousers in Widnes, they have a hardcore of 3-4k and the ones who watched them in the late 70's/early 80's will be either dead or given up on them. Their only hope is to pull in new support but they are competing against Wire & Stains from the surrounding areas.

I'm pretty sure Cas only have about 3-4k hardcore support but they still average over 7k.

The away support at Widnes will be massive for them. I just hope the home support is decent. It was ok last time they were in super league.

According to Wiganers, us Widnes people are considered scousers anyway. I'll be going the game on saturday. Taking my father ( born and bred pie eater) as a fathers day gift from last week.

All we can do as true fans who used to follow Fartown to the likes of Runcorn Highfield, Springfield Borough and Mansfield Marksmen is to try encourage people to now follow the Giants who are winning alot more than we are losing.

like I said I am sure they will all turn up if we get to a major Final Suppose we need to win something and if the crowds dont improve after that we may as well give up the ghost.

They advertise on the buses in Liverpool (problem is, only 3 of them go from Widnes to Liverpool and it's almost exactly the same route).

even though we are still mocked and castigated for our crowds, we have actually had the biggest increase in crowds in the entire country over the last few years,yes we could and possibly should be getting more bums on seats, to compare our increase over the last 5 years is around 110% it's like wigan averaging 30,000.
and yes we are also hindered when compared to most clubs in the fact that we've had to fight our way up from the 3rd division of the league structure to the top pf super league, whereas most clubs were regular top flight competitors when we were languishing in the 2nd/3rd divisions therefore they had a solid fan base to count upon.
im sure however that how ever many we bring over we will make plenty of noise and hopefully be celebrating again

We took about 15k + to Wembley were are they now? Our crowds are on the up and have improved but would love to see us getting 10k every home game

On page 74 of this week's Chorley Guardian (and also the Leyland Guardian, which is virtually the same thing), there's a voucher entitling readers to purchase up to 2 East Stand tickets for The Big One 3 at £10 adults, £7 concessions or £5 juniors.

You can use it in advance from the main ticket office or on the day from the East Stand ticket office. So, if you missed out on the official discounted tickets, anyone who can get anywhere vaguely near the Chorley or South Ribble borough could save a few quid with that deal. Worth noting that it can only be used in the East Stand.
