Do you think Hansen being out alll season could potentially cost us the title?

39110_1363272058.jpg Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot
Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good
-
sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league
-
Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate
-
the flying biscuit..Wires havent been massively succesful over the years, but I've spoke to Brian Bevan And he spoke to me and i wouldnt swap that for Wigans History, ever
-
Ande..on the TV i could only hear the Wigan fans with about 10 to go
-
Saint94..Every team is in your feckin shadow, we all know

| The backs have clicked since he got injured. That has nothing to do with Hansen. Stupid argument.

| Some weird threads and comments on this board at the moment. First on another thread we see Wigan fans acting like the season's already over and conceding a league and cup double to the Wolfs (it's not even June yet!!! ), then a thread criticising Madge and now a thread having a pop at HH....

I'm not saying you're wrong, I'd just like to see these threads we're some fans are conceding the league already to Wolves and the Maguire bashing one. As for this thread, it's just silly.

"Wire fans getting carried away (just a bit)..................."
"Is Madge focussed on Wigan"
Not all of the posters on those threads are coming out with nonsense, but there is some cringemaking stuff on there.
We are Wigan fans. Our team are the champions.
We should fear no-one, especially not a team like Dire, with a proven track record of flattering to deceive. We should back our own players and coach unless we are given a reason to do otherwise.
We have the two best players in SL - Paaaaaaaaaaaat (how we missed the presence of the great man in the early part of this season) and Sam. Let's leave the opposition - whoever they may be - to worry about those two, two of the greatest RL players in the SL era.
People seem to be in some sort of ridiculous panic about the Wolfs' pack, frankly it's embarrassing to see from Wigan fans. This isn't the mid-noughties side. We have a very strong pack which may be in a flat spot of form, but it's a long season and there are no prizes for peaking in May.
When you think that we have Hock and Fielden to come back into the side, this makes it even more ridiculous. What a massive boost that will be as we approach the business end of the season. The bottom line is that our pack is second to none, including Wire's. We should leave the worrying to the opposition and concentrate on delivering the potential of the best squad in SL.

Hansen's contribution is replaceable, in his absence we cam be just as strong as we have players who can do what he can do. However there are several players which offer something more unique to the team.
For example.
Pat Richards-best winger at the club. His conversations can win a game. This has been proven.
Sam Tomkins-offers so much strike in attack, make so many meters and is SL deadly, we have no one like him in the team.
Was H missed? No. Cos others can do what he can do, he's a solid yet average SL player. Many many better SRs in SL.
I have nothing against H. But I do have something against the attitude and behaviour of several posters. Hence the whole purpose of this thread.

| To quote Deano G "We should leave the worrying to the opposition and concentrate on delivering the potential of the best squad in SL" Thats so true in sport, nothing worse that seeing one player is not availiable, just to see another one step up to take his place of similar ability. THAT'S why HH is important, not as an individual, but as a member of a squad.

23997_1287161421.jpg
Great game of rugby league. Fantastic atmosphere, Wigan were breathtaking and dominant in all areas for the first 25 minutes, coupled with us making alot of dumb mistakes, then fortunately they brought McIlorum on which helped us back into the game. I thought some of the tries we scored to get us within two we're out of this world stuff. Towards the end we had to force it a little and we had a few things go wrong, i.e Monas kick on the first for King and Solomona going off who was causing havoc. Wigan were clinical in their eventual execution of us. Proud of Wire today and gave us a little glimpse to the future. Silverwood was awful as per, but I expect no less. Tomkins is a world class player and by far the best english player in SL. Wigan are a champion side and would be a worthy winner of taking our title as challenge cup. Good luck over the next month and a bit.
:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_23997.jpg |

did we lose games when Richards was out due to goal kicking? Did we win games without sam? Your argument isnt valid.

| The arguement is only valid if you know the results IF HH had played. But we don't.

Hansen is replaceable. And wasn't missed we did lose games due to kicking (Richards) and Sam clearly offers something which others dont.
Out of interest where in Wigan do you come from and how old are you?
