If it is confirmed then the Hull board are making a monumental mistake in allowing Agar to sign him - their problem is not a lack of quality players but the lack of a quality coach.
They remind me of Warrington before they brought in Tony Smith who wasted about 3 minutes getting shut of Martin Gleeson - wonder what made him do that?
We may have suffered a little in the short term but im fairly confident that Wigan have made the right decision. |

Richard Agar may sign Gleeson but their BOD will have to approve it and agree his salary etc. If the BOD said "Don't be so bloody stupid Richard" then he wouldn't be signed.
The problem at Hull firstly is the BOD. They are useless.
This proves it, to reunite Long and Gleeson at one club beggars belief!
It will be fun though and never, ever dull!
HKR fans won't be able to call them "The Dulls" whilst that pair are at the club!
Looking forward to it really, I suppose!

Why did we not try and command a transfer fee for Gleeson instead of simply mutually terminating his contract as it seems? It leaves a bad taste in the mouth that a player we spent 100k on has left for free and signed an 18 month deal with a rival club. Its a similar situation to the one in which we signed him in and we had to stump up the money for him!

I doubt Hull will be paying him as much as we were - Hull wouldn't want to take him on what Wigan were paying him. The circumstances are very different from when Gleeson joined Wigan. I don't have a major issue with IL on this, unless I'm missing something? |

Im not having a pop at IL, I really feel for the guy that he invested 100k in Gleeson then had to let him go for free. I don't doubt that Gleeson had to go at all either it just seems that we've been stung twice here by losing a good player and receiving no compensation, unless we sign a quality replacement. |
