Didn't think tonight was our best performance we have given but I didn't expect us to be class after all last week would have taken a hell of alot out of us!

Marsh for me was dissapointing, I thought Salford Targeted him and we seemed shakey down his side all night. He also doesn't seem to have the physical presence that charnley has! Charnley seems to be thriving with confidence and I would love to see him given a run at centre!

We where good upfront again tonight and mossop seems to have found his form from the start of last season which is good to see.

All we needed was a win and we got it, I was certain we would as this team under Maguire has bouncebackability in buckets. The great thing now is that we have 9 days untill our next game which is also at home, I am very confident of a win.

As for Kids choosing football in Salford, so what? Theres nothing stopping you looking for talent elsewhere like we do, look at our academy products today, half of them Wiganers, but others from all over the country such as Cumbria (mossop) Leeds (mcilorum) etc. We've even got a young centre in the u20s from London.

Even though we went on to win it and were the best team by a long way (sorry i must stop being arrogant ) this season i think was always going to take a few matches to get going from the the high of last season, so what we didn't play as well as we can but a win is a win it will all come good in the end (sorry being arrogant again).

Comfortable win without playing great, 5 days after playing one of (if not the) best club team to come to these shores, with all the other crapola flying about to try and distract them.

Plenty of positives there and now the lads get 4 days off to recuperate.
