| Quote: Baked Bean Boogie "so Graham couldn't have caused a tiny rip/tear that got worse through the game until it finally ended with Pat being injured.'"
Nope achillies injuries don't work like that. It will have been coming on for weeks and weeks until eventually it just breaks. It usually rips/tears/snaps in a twisting motion or when over-stretched. Overuse is also a key element to achillies injuries and as Pat has done ALOT of kicking this may have played part to it. It was probably unavoidable and merely a matter of time before it went. If Graham was the cause of the injury it would of been evident as soon as contact had of been made as Pat would of been in alot of pain. I'm not saying this as a saints fan trying to defend Graham because i believe any standing on opponents is dispicable.

| He went down in my estimation after Saturday night. Great competitor, but sore loser. The game was played in the right spirit except for him.

| Quote: Steelhead "I thought Graham overplayed the move whereby he passes before he hits the defensive line. In the second half he was doing this every time he had the ball, and it wasn't effective at all, it being read by our defense every time, smacked of him either couldn't be bothered taking it up or fed up of getting hammered by our defense.'"
My thoughts exactly. In the second half i don't remember him driving it in once. Watching it back on tv he offloaded it just before he hit the line 5 or 6 times. I couldn't decide if he was trying something different for the team or just accepting he was Stu and Coley's b1tch all game. Suprising for such a workhorse.

| A letter in the League Express says he threw his LOSERS medal into the empty seats. Didn't see this myself, but if he did he's a bloody disgrace.

| There's been a lot said already whether Graham caused Pat's injury. Certain people ( especially Saints fans) say quite categorically that Graham stamping on Pat's foot/heel had nothing to do with the injury and that it would have happened anyway in time, owing to the nature of how the tendon actually tears. Others, myself included, think Graham's stamping on Pat's foot may have accelerated the onset of the injury.
If that is the case, then maybe Graham did Pat and us a big favour in that it's better he suffered the injury now ( and can thus get the majority of his recovery and recuperation done in the off season) rather than it happening in January/February which would have meant Pat missing almost all of the season.
Trying to look on the bright side....!! In any case, Good Luck, Pat, for as speedy a recovery as possible. We need you back on that left wing and kicking the goals asap!
Presume Deacon will kick if still playing and fully recovered from his groin problem next year. Or does Finch kick? or Hoffman? ( a la David Furner?!!) Or a fully fit Amos Roberts? A reliable goal kicker is so important in tight matches. ( We won away at Saints and Warrington because Pat kicked the penalties/conversions.)

This is nothing new for Graham, i've been to the last 3 grand finals and as the games have slipped away from Saints, he starts to think he's a half back rather than a prop. You'll see him in back play ordering people about and taking the ball first receiver only to run a few yards and pass a simple ball to the very next player.
I believe he does it purely out of frustration the way Saints were playing, he probably thinks been used as a battering ram and that got them nowhere i'll try something different, but he needs to understand thats not his job. As we handle everything Saints threw at us, Cunningham, Matty Smith and whoever else was supposed to be playing half back for Saints were truely none exsistant.
he's certainly not soft, i don't think any player that takes a RL field is soft, certainly not the leagues top metre maker.
The dummy spits also annoy me, even though it was funny as a Wigan fan, i also look at the bigger picture and think we need him not to repeat that when we're up against the Aussies and Kiwi's

To be fair I think he is shaking his head at those causing the disruption during the silence.

20333_1393344959.gif Current thoughts - Mago out or get running up them plantations, get fit or get rid.
Maybe a back up halfback, someone with a bit of experience on a short term deal.
Big tall strong running second rower, like a McMeekin or Sironen type back rower.:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_20333.gif |

| I read on here that some felt that he had deliberately stood on Pats ankle during the game, so I decided to look for myself.
Not only does he blatantly do so, he also tries to repeat it twice on Preccy after a drive forward around 70 minutes or so. Then there were the nappy-rash displays of temper tantrums throughout the second half. No action taken though against St Helens' finest.
Quite obviously a graduate of the Keith Mason School of Cheap Shot Tactics, I now read that he threw his runners-up medal into some empty seats straight after accepting it.
Oaf. Chidish oaf. Glad he doesn't play for us.

| He also brought his knee up to the player who was playing the ball in front of him on several occasions. Worry not, he'll get absoulutely butchered when we play the aussies and kiwi's and I for one wilkl absoulutely enjoy watching it.

| I can Confirm he threw his medal away.
Ha his bottom lip out while doing it too!
Probably learnt from his manager who told me to f-off as I offered shake his hand as he walked down the stairs with a minute or so on the clock.
