I still insist that the difference this year compared to other years is Wigan’s league form. Come the play off’s you’ll be as good as they come just have you always have been when in the play offs in recent years. Last year in particular you went better than three teams above you in the table (Huddersfield, Hull KR &Wakefield). However Catalan Dragons had a more remarkable play off run in 2009.

But the past few years have seen you not doing so well in the league as your doing this year. Come play off time who knows what will happen?

I am really looking forward to both games and hope they are both nail biters, not really bothered who wins in either semi but feel on Sunday I will have to do what the Wire fans did with us the other year and support the frogs but really not fussed either way and just looking forward to watching two titanic scraps.

Too early on a Saturday morning to expalin it all, but what is now known as Pyrenees-Orientales was part of Catalonia until the Spanish and the French divvied up Catalonia in 1659 after the war between the two states. Although officially part of France many working class people continued with their lives and after around 350 years of French rule the Catalan culture and identity is still alive and well in North Catalonia.
That will explain the Catalan flags, Catalan food and the people who still speak Catalan in and around Perpignan/Perpinya.
