Well Saturday really is his oppurtunity to well and truly prove all the doubters wrong, of which I am still one. I hope he proves me wrong, I really do.
Re: Amos Roberts
I'm chuffed he may play BUT if he does I wouldn't expect him to light up Headingly. His injury was quite bad and it may well take time for him to get back into his stride.
Having said that, he really is an un-predictable player, the type where one minute he seems to be having a quiet game and the next he explodes into life and rips the opposition defence to bits.
I'm going to go for a Wigan win by 4 on Saturday. Leeds certainly won't lie down for us and they themselves have a strong side out.

| Cant believe people want Goulding in over Pryce based on the fact that Goulding has scored more 'hard' trys

| The thing I like best is i'm sure that both Goulding & Pryce would have been working like hell to impress MM this week in order to grab that one spot.
What a difference to the last few seasons where there was a good chance your spot was usually safe regardless of how you performed.

| Pryce over Goulding every time at the moment he has earned the shirt. Regards Amos, I am certain he will play and I am certain he will be fit. it is not the new regime's style to name a player who is struggling for fitness, especially when we have others who have missed out on the squad who could cover his position and have a point to prove.

| Quote: Salty "As regards to Phelps.
I was in London at my son's watching Wigan play Leeds on Tv last season.
He asked, "What's this Phelps like?"
I replied, "Well, he can't catch and he can't tackle but he tries hard."
No sooner had the words come out of my mouth, Leeds put up a high bomb which he duly dropped. In the next six tackles a Leeds player ran through him to score.
I remember it so clearly.'"
I'm very confused which match this happened in?
Leeds away last season Phelps didn't play.
Leeds at home, both of their trys didn't come from anything like that incident described.

I think Amos is fit and ready. Providing nothing goes wrong during the week I believe he will play. No insider-knowledge, but I wouldn't be in the least bit surprised if he played. A massive boost to the side. He is such an awesome talent. The most dangerous player in Super League with ball in hand before he got injured. An open space shown and he will capitalise.
Madge also says in the interview that Harrison Hansen isn't too far away. That would be another massive boost. HH works like a trojan in defence, but was also getting better going forward. He has bulked up a bit I believe.
We have players coming back at the right time. A massive headache for Madge when they are all fit.'" I agree 100% i think if amos plays sat he was ready last week but madge gave him an extra week just to be sure

| Pryce scores 8 walk in tries, which any winger could score, and now he is a world beater.
I also fail to see how getting the ball from 5 yards out and putting it down, with barely a man near him, constitutes being on form. Ainscough did this last season and was slated on here. It seems that a lot of Wigan fans are simply trying to justify his signing after years of him doing nothing and getting rejected by every club in Super League.

| I know we are all excited about the prospect of Amos returning but if those 'in the know' have info on the team selection do you not think it's best not to post it on here?
Let's leave Leeds in the dark on this one. I'd assume Leeds will have different game plans lined up based on Amos playing or not. It majorly changes the dynamic of the tie IMO.

How many have Goulding and Ainscough leaked down their respective wings compared to Pryce?
There is more to life than scoring tries even if ignorant posters like you do not realise it.

The troll is back I see.
You wish u had a player half as talented as Pryce in your squad. Maybe then you wouldn't be the SL whipping boys!
Hope you do well in the cup this weekend btw!
