Some Salford fan said to me and I quote "You are by far and away the most Handsome & Knowledgeable Rugby League Fan in England!"
I thanked him and went on my Merry way!
RIVERCAVE DWELLER OF THE YEAR 2015!
"The club used you last night and didn't tell the truth."

| Quote: Rogues Gallery "Jukesays has just spoke to Phelps at the reserves game v Leigh. Phelps expects to be out for four to six weeks.
Wigan won the game 46 - 0'"
They "Thought" it was a break last night but in his words "It's not as bas as He 1st thought!".
4-6 weeks
PS
We get a steady team, a full back that attempts tackles (Althought not brilliant he is better than the 2 x presious incumbents MAthers & Ashton, by a country mile!) 2 wingers scoring tries for fun, a new coach that has overseen the resigning of him at least for 12 months and seems to pick him at FB despite what the so called experts on here think, he creates more tries from FB than other FB we've had probably since H Paul played there and we want to change it around?

| Keep the changes to a minimum.
Roberts to fullback (a position he has played regularly in Australia) and either Pryce or Ainscough on the wing (I suspect it will be Pryce)

I think goulding will get the nod for the wing spot.

He wasn't selected for the reserves today, and the rumour is he is on his way to Salford. Josh Veivers was withdrawn at half time so who knows?

| It's time for Pryce 2 get an extended first team run IMO.
Ainscough proved his worth last season and was rewarded with a new deal BUT the best thing for his development is staying at Widnes for now.
This season is a crunch time for Pryce and this sustained period of game time will make or break him.

| People keep trying to find reasons not to like Phelps, but so far this year
v Crusaders - 1 bomb - defused.
v Hull KR - 1 on 1 tackle on Newton - made.
He will be our player of the season and is going to be a massive loss to us for the next few weeks.
On the other hand, its now or never for Pryce.

| Quote: Grimmy "Really good - negative turn of phrase? I'm on about when they got an overlap on our line, Phelps slid over and both he and Roberts took their centre, neither wrapped the ball up, Phelps got handed off completely and the centre got the ball away with the winger in space, luckily the pass was bad and went to touch. It was the whole team's fault for not sliding but I was looking for him to either come in and stop the offload or slide out and get to the winger, he did neither. As I said Phelps was really good in attack before he went off and if he was fit I'd have him in at full back again but I still worry about his defence that's all. He's not Mathers but he's not solid either.'"
It's a negative turn of phrase mate, because you're either blind or totally biased in that you only expect certain players to play completely faultlessly and stop everything. Holy crap he got handed off? what a truly Epic Fail from Cam. Watch any game of super league and you'll find a number of players making errors, 'cock ups' as you call them, yet they never get a mention from you. I personally think your harshness on Cam is down to how you feel Ainscough should be in the side (as you've posted numerous times over the pre season almost hoping that others don't perform and saying Ainscough should start).
Seriously what do you expect from Phelps? He had a defensively very good game last night, even with the 'cock up', put in a great slow down tackle on Newton(?) when he was bursting through after handing off Fielden and they looked likely to score, and was superbly placed and read really well a dangerous kick through from Dobson and took it cleanly first time.

Nail on head.
Moaning because someone got handed off, jeez.

Assuming Roberts goes to FB, whoever fills in on the wing will be up against King. Given Ainscough isn't the best under the high bomb, putting him in that position's the wrong move for me.
I'd rather have Pryce playing outside Gleeson.

Defo.
Regardless of if people rate him, don’t rate him or have an agenda against the lad Pryce has to be in the side for the next 4-6 weeks. Even if he has a stinker next week against Wire I’d still keep him in the side for the week after against Catalans.
In order to fully judge and evaluate Pryce Madge has to see him play over a period of weeks at SL level and now is the perfect opportunity for him to show any worth he has. The team is settled, playing well, he’ll be outside an inform centre in Gleeson and with Joel also on that side of the park it’s looking strong for us.
Our next six games games;
Warrington Wolves Away
Catalans Dragons Home
Bradford Bulls Away
Hull FC Home
Castleford Tigers Away
Leeds Rhinos Home
That’s six tough games for Pryce to prove his worth.
If he fails then it’s game over for him sadly but at least he will have been given a pro longed run in the first team.

| Didnt bailey play in the reserves today? We could well see him in the 17 with something like:
STomkins (played at fullback before and didnt look out of place, plus always mopping up kicks close to our line, good fullback play)
Roberts
Gleeson
Carmont
Richards
Deacon
Leuluai
Fielden
Riddell
Coley
Hansen
JTomkins
O'Loughlin
Mossop
Feka
Prescott

| That would pretty much mean Riddell playing 80 mins though, which IMO im not sure he could pull off with a good level of performace the whole way through
