Be careful Phil a lot of your fellow Saints fans think that 92 side was poor! Never understood why many of your fellow Saints can't bring themselves to say that was a really good side, they are so obsessed with painting that era as totally dominated by Wigan they ignore one of the great sides of the modern era and one of Saints all time best sides. Things went sadly (or happily depending on which way you look at it!  ) wrong for that team in that they couldn't build on that in the following season but in 92 that team was definitely able to compete with the great Wigan side of that era. |

To add icing on that cake, I lost my ticket to the game during "pre-match drinkies" but given the (continued) inadequacies of the turnstiles utilised at the GPW, was able to wait patiently in turn before vaulting over and disappearing into the crowd before the stewards could find me. |

Does anyone remember the announcer playing the Monkees 'Cheer up sleepy Jean' during a break in play and everyone to a man joined in with Cheer up Ian Millward......needless to say it was never heard again.

We played at KR in a midweek cup replay in Feb '95 which was the night of the Rep of Ire v Eng international. I know we won the game but what score was it? |
