I'm afraid, if feel it's a non starter too, but with no news, and no pending signings so far we can speculate and dream.

| If Noble is going then you'd deduce that by now IL has someone lined up.
There's no quality coaches available in Britain so an Aussie or Kiwi would be no surprise.

| I wouldn't be suprised if we're still wondering if Nobby will be staying or going come christmas time tbh.
Everyting seems to take an age under Mr Lenagan and this coaching situation doesn't look like being any different.
I'm a fan of the job Lenagan has done overall but i do wish he's sort thigns out a touch quicker at times. I can see issues arriving again with the new shirts and sponsorship to add on top of the uncertainty surrounding the coaching set up and playing staff.

But all things considered, can you see any advantage to Wigan in the new man being announced now, and the press starting yakking about it, and the message boards filling up with it - while in the background Brian Noble, who's suddenly yesterday's man, is trying to prepare the team for the most important three weeks of the season?
However people want to spin it - even if it's an amicable arrangement with Noble, which I suspect it won't be - I feel it would be one big distraction.

Aslong as we announce whats happening as soon as we're out of the play offs then fair enough but will that happen?
It should but like i say Lenagan isn't one to rush.

Veivers is also on his way so looks like a new coaching setup next year for us.'"
Dude, people have been saying both of these "snippets" for weeks.
Does my head in when people start new threads, claiming they know something, that other people have been saying for weeks.

And us fans need to start to deal with it. hes the owner, hes the boss, and he'll do what he feels is the best way to deal with all aspects of the club.
If only announcing new players and new coaches at the end ofthe season is how he does it...tough luck for the fans who expect to know everything
P.S This is not a swipe at u Nicky
just quoting what u said

| Slightly off topic but in reponse to Nicky Kiss, I got told by a former Heinz employee that Heinz will no longer be sponsoring Wigan Warriors or Wigan Athletic after the end of the current seasons.
I believe that the new Wigan shirts will be available in time for Christmas, without the sponsors logo if necessary.

I have no problem with that and feel it's probably the right way to go but it's got to be announced asap when your season is over.
The way Wire have gone about things is ideal imo. They thought their season was over after defeat on Saturday night(and it probably is) so they called a press conference to announce the deals they've been working on for months. They've been forward planning and got everything in place so that the coaching staff, players and fans can go away fromn the 2009 season knowing where they stand for 2010. The club and team will be more settled for it and will be ready to roll on the first day of pre season.
Us on the other hand don't seem to announce anything because we don't usually have anything in place. I don't have too much of a problem if we don't sign anybody but as soon as our season is over i'd like to see Lenagan announce who's going to be coaching the side next year and if it's a definate that nobody will be coming in. That will allow everybody to settle down and look towards next year.
As it stands i expect we'll finish the season and we'll probably find out Nobby is leaving but we won't make an announcment on his replacement till after christmas and we'll probably still be speculating about player signings right up until the first game of superleague 2010.
As for Sponsors and kits..........................i'll not even start.

That would be better then what happened this year but still not ideal.

Justin did get an approach from Wigan though...
Anyway, surely the approach for Kearney confirms that Noble is on his way.

You're entitled to your opinion, but most of this is just pessimistic speculation.
