And you have to remember that kids are under enormous pressure not to make mistakes when they graduate to the first team. If they apply either or both (often high-risk maneuvers) and feck up it could mean being dropped back into the reserves. And you don't get too many return tickets from there. So kids tend to play it 'safe'. After two or three years of playing it safe (in order to secure a jersey and a contract) many kids simply forget these moves entirely.

it has been hard of late to distinguish between which club has the most backwards fans, its still a close call between Wire and Salford, but many more comments like this and you may well tip the scales in the wolves favour. Trust me change of pace and clicking through the gears in a short space of time is something i have rarely seen coached in league, and as much as it will rile a few, every union club i played at, at least recognised the importance of it.
