Escare sitting out this season doesn't benefit anyone. Surely the best move would be to take a pay cut and back yourself to perform and earn another big contract? Sitting it out means his potential worth drops week on week, when instead he could be playing and showcasing himself.

Kinda like Tom Davies moving for game time at Catalan's.

Good luck to him after the way he has been treated by Wigan.

Has he been treated any differently to any other player who isn't good enough to play first team rugby?

If Escare is to go to Salford you'd imagine Wigan RL will still be paying part of his salary if the rumours regarding the amount he's paid are anything like true.

Treated at Wigan, reported to be earning 100k a year yet refused to play on duel reg at Swinton with the other wigan lads when we had no reserves as it was below him.

I just don’t buy into Escare being one of our top earners. He was never a nailed on starter, yes he had a very promising first season and I could imagine he got a decent contract but nothing to put him in line with the top earners.
It would explain him being cast aside when his performances have been okay though.

Amazing how a player suddenly becomes a bad player when he leaves or could be leaving!

He has only even played ok for me, he evidently brings as many problems as solutions and in my opinion which i said at the time he shouldn’t have been offered a new deal and i do wonder if the deal was already agreed(not announced)before we signed Zak.

Last season he was 3rd choice full back and 5th or 6th choice winger at best. And this year very simlar.

Its only the fact that we haven’t been able to off load him so far that he is still here. I have nowt against him at all but makes financial sense to get rid if/when possible. I hope he does well where ever he goes but not too well obviously.

I don't think he's a bad player and I've never said that. I don't think he's good enough for this current Wigan side though.
For me he's a squad player who's currently 3rd choice fullback, 4th/5th choice winger and 5th/6th choice halfback. Would you agree with that?
