Yeah absolute non story. They’ve not signed anything at Wigan in the same way many others haven’t at other clubs. Somebody has seen an opportunity in all the uncertainty at Wigan to make a story out of this list of players.

At the time players can freely talk to other clubs their agents will offer their player around.

The club hasn’t done this, it’s the agents which is their prerogative.

I’d be surprised if we haven’t at least offered Burgess a contract, despite his injury problems he is a top player imo.

and this typifies the shambles that wigan rl has become if a player is good enough he should be signed to a contract before the deadline not offerred to other clubs, it can't be good for confidence and it once again says we don't give a f##k about the fans.

Maybe he's been offered a contract and he's waiting to see if the NRL is interested in him before making a decision.

IF Joe Burgess is out of contract then I would love him at Leeds as he (along with Manfredi) are both far better than what we currently have in the first team

It’s true he’s out of contract but my guess is that he fancies following his group of chums (back) over to Australia. We’re suffering at the minute from how close that group of five players are. Some are here still and some are not but I’d be surprised if they’re all not playing in the same country and possibly even the same team come 2021 at the very latest.

Those five are Sutton, Bateman, Williams, Burgess and Gildart. As things stand I think Gildart is the only one we may still have here next season.

Like I said above, he's made no secret about wanting another crack at the NRL, he may well be keeping his powder dry and waiting to see if he gets an offer.
I'd be staggered and be bitterly disappointed if we haven't or are unwilling to offer him a contract.

The article run by Total RL says that the email informing of the availability of these players was not sent by the Warriors.
So who sent the email then?
Someone with a financial interest perhaps, any guesses?

Enough said, not offered out by the club and nothing more that agents touting.

I agree but as you say he has had his fair share of injuries since his return and given the plethora of wingers and given he must be on a decent wedge will they even offer a contract to him I wonder?

This appears on the face of it agent driven.
Or maybe the email never existed and this is a piece of journalistic licence by TotalRL.
Either way the story hasn't anything to do with the club.
