A definite NO. I too never wanted him as coach in the first place. I just didn’t and still don’t get all the hype about him. I enjoyed watching him as a player but hated him as a person. The second part still remains.

I had a lot of respect for the way he was with my grandmother. Never wanted him as coach. Players had been slated for playing RU yet he was being welcomed with open arms. When he has done more to promote RU at the expense of RL than anyone.

This. I was never overjoyed with his appointment in the first place. Bin him, appoint Lam and move on whilst not forgetting IL’s part in this fiasco.

So far we know 2 facts.

1 There is NO contract
2 The announcement was all lies

Now unless your mystical source told you that SE didn't want a contract at what point is any of the above not the fault of Wigan? If Shaun didn't want a contract then Wigan should have either told him to do one or not made the announcement at all.

SE pimping himself out in the press isn't great, but if Wigan still haven't sent a contract 9 months later and are "not going to stand in his way" then I don't see how blame can be directed anywhere else but Wigan.

He only wants to stay a year though doesn't he? I don't think that his family have come over with him? The situation may have changes but certainly a few months back he only wanted a one year deal.
Also I don't think he is up to it. His post match comments do not sound like a team coach but a coach who does no wrong because it always the players fault

There’s no way you could appoint Lam long term at the moment. I’d simply rule out the Edwards appointment as soon as and state Lam is continuing at caretaker as planned. Maybe the opportunity for the players to put Lam is a position to get the job will tell us all we need to know.

No not a chance, was not convinced he was the right choice before and certainly am not now. Get a RL coach in - we have time to find someone if we start looking now rather than hanging on just in case...

No and I would take him off the hall of fame as well.
