For hopefully the last time in my life, I (almost) cheered a Saints try when he went over. I feel so dirty.

It was a good call, but they check it with the video ref these days so I think Saints would have got the ball no matter what.

On another side note, well done to Cunningham for swapping the halves, full back combo throughout the game. Really confused Leeds. Don't think they will get away with it again though.

Great game to watch as a neutral, hate to say it but I'm glad Saints won, it's going to take an incredible effort from Leeds now to make the top four and I'd much rather they didn't make it as they've shown time and time again they know how to win when it matters.

I'll join the people saying it's good to see Lomax back, he's a class player and SL needs as many of them as possible. Seems like a good lad too. The game was a strange one but good for any neutrals watching.

I started to watch it, but my dodgy internet feed got too bad, and I gave up and started watching the Broncos hammer the Bunnies. It looked a poor game at the beginning between two very ordinary sides. Apparently Saints improved a fair bit, then.

Lomax looked such a talent when he first appeared, but the worry always is when players are out for such a long time, will they ever really be right again. I'm pleased if he is, but, more importantly, if we can say the same about Sam Tomkins.

Just how much are Leeds missing Sinfield? maybe even off the pitch too. He always had his critics (me included), he had no pace, etc. But he could pick a pass, and his rugby brain and kicking game were second to none.

The guy deserves to do well after all the horror injuries he has had. Good to see him back and can only wish him all the best (except when they play us of course )

Our halves stayed constant, Longy's explanation post-match was that in good field position Lomax would attack at fullback but the rest of the time stay in the centres/wing just to limit his involvement somewhat.

Great to see Lomax back and the fact that so many Wigan fans are pleased to see him back speaks volumes for me. I'd be happy to see Tomkins back if it means a stronger England team and a better Super League competition and let's be honest, it does.

When Lomax scored his first try it's the first (and only) time I've ever cheered a saints score.

No proper fan wishes injuries on any player and I think this thread highlights the appreciation supporters show players for putting themselves through the ringer whilst playing a brutally tough sport.

Lomax is an entertaining player to watch and whilst he'll clearly strengthen the Saints side it's great to see him back because tbh, when I saw he wasn't fit to start th season I wondered if we'd ever see him come back.
