| On Tuson. I thought he was poor last season and it'll be a shame to see him go now he's showing some good form. You can't keep them all though and Burke and Hughes are more or less on a par with him despite having far less experience. My all time favourite memories of Tuson will be Cas at home a few years back when he scored a try from prop, then someone tried to smash him from kick off and seriously came unstuck, and Saints last year when he battered Magennis after he was hit with a cheap shot from behind. As already mentioned, I really hope this means we're keeping Hansen

| This will bite us on the backside IMO.
Stunned by this news tbh. He's a Wane favourite and a player that will get better and better with age. I know we can't keep them all but I didn't see this happening.

| People will often assume that its the club "getting rid", do we know if Tuson has made the decision himself? Maybe he wants a regular spot?
Wholehearted player, i think wakey have made a good acquisition.

To be fair the truth may well be somewhere in-between. Tuson signed his last contract after the '10 season and IMO he isn't that much better than he was then but he's three years older and the competition for second row spots is much stronger. As such I wouldn't be offering him much (if any) more money this time round. Wakefield, on the other hand, can probably offer him a starting spot every week and a wage to reflect that, so it makes sense all round really.

| I've got a feeling that Lenegan has already secured a couple more forwards for next season, as well as having a few great prospects coming through the academy. They will have discussed with Tuson their plans and I'm guessing he will have decided that he wanted to play rugby every week, good luck to him.

He's been getting a regular spot; the only games he's missed have been through injury. I'm very surprised too; as Nicky Kiss says, he's rated very highly by Wane.

| Phil Wilkinson just tweeted
Wigan "offered Tuson a 3-year-deal with very competitive salary". Radlinski "disappointed" with decision but wishes him well at Wakefield.
I'll leave other's to read between the lines, and come to their own conclusions.

| Obviously not rated highly enough, or we'd be keeping him... Solid player, but we've got a lot of them already...

In other words Wakefield offered him more. Fair play to him

| May have the chance to get more starts & first team rugby so can't blame him. I'd say it works out for everyone, as good as it would've been to keep him (and I do wish he was staying), we have some quality prospects in the back row that may overshadow him.

| Not such a big loss and you can see why.
If Hansen signs a new deal him and Farrell will occupy the back row for a good few years. Hughes is coming on in leaps and bounds. Lloyd will be breaking through in the next could of years, as will Burke. Opportunities for Tuson will become limited, I can totally understand his decision to leave. A good squad player, but we already have a few of those.
