39110_1363272058.jpg Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot
Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good
-
sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league
-
Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate
-
the flying biscuit..Wires havent been massively succesful over the years, but I've spoke to Brian Bevan And he spoke to me and i wouldnt swap that for Wigans History, ever
-
Ande..on the TV i could only hear the Wigan fans with about 10 to go
-
Saint94..Every team is in your feckin shadow, we all know

Indeed. Some of the best players in the world play in teams at the bottom of the table. The only way that could happen in SL is if everyone spent to the cap limit.
That is why spending to the cap should be one of the main criteria of staying in SL.

Spot on. Paramatta dead last on 4 points with Jarryd Hayne (spelling?) as their starting full back, would never happen in Super League.

10 or 12 team Super League. Said this in a massive post on the VT a while ago. The beauty of the NRL is that a major free agent from the top of the table will quite gladly go to the bottom on the table if the money is right. In super league, let's take Tomkins for example, if he was OOC tomorrow and Wigan couldn't afford to keep him because of the cap, his realistic options are Hull, Leeds, Saints, Warrington, Catalans. Maybe add Huddersfield into that, but those of the main teams. Add in another french team, who would be attractive with tax breaks and whatnot, and you'd have league pretty even across the board.

| Souths are not good enough in the halves to win anything IMO. Maybe if they had kept Sandow (although he's been terrible so far this year).
They have some great players but aren't nearly as creative as the likes of Storm, Warriors, Manly Etc.

[quote="Headingley Rhino"]Great win yesterday at our place, there is no denying you are probably the best team in SL as you have proved it all year so I think it's justice done that you have got to Old Trafford. I thought wigan was excellent in the second half and showed why you guys are top dogs this year.: |

www.rugbyleagueontv.co.uk/ (how do people still not know about this?)
Or betting websites usually have them live (I think).

The Rugby Football League are in the process of reviewing the video that you are referring to. We do not condone behaviour of this nature and have contacted the player’s employer, Hull F.C., who have confirmed that they are dealing with the incident under their club rules.

| Where just doing the basics right.
When people say with our roster we should be doing better they aren't looking at our pivots.
Last season we had Wesser, Sutton, Sandow and a out of form Luke.
Now we have Inglis (wasted at centre as Sutton can't give him any good ball), Sutton, Reynolds (rookie of the year up to now) and Lukes back to his best from.
Maguires tided up the ruck area and is getting the best out of our inexperienced players, Farrell, Reynolds, Tyrrell, Starling, Everingham and Hunt had a fine debut playing out of position on the wing.

| Sheldon, what's the general feeling of the Rabbitohs fans over there with regard to Maguire and his methods?

| A few where a bit worried about his tactics in and around the ruck, but with the nrl clamping down on the wrestle it hasn't materialised. We are a lot better there but we have really struggled there in the past few years. Where actually a very entertaining side to watch.
He's identified our gun players and were getting the ball to them in good positions, hardly ground breaking but it just hasn't happened in the past few seasons.
He's made himself available to the media, which always helps, and comes across very well.
