| Going got tough on Saturday, Wildy went missing. Reminds me of 2005!
Pretty good player who has matured quite a bit at Hudds but as others have stated, we've made worse mistakes!

| One player I do regret losing all those years ago was Gilmour.

Hmm that's interesting, I thought he would be one that you guys would of felt gutted about letting go. In some ways I would like to see him playing with a higher calibre of player around him...just to see if I am right about him...on the other hand I would hate to see him leave. Although I might consider a swap deal involving Tomkins and Mossop!!!

| Wild limped throughout his Wigan career so wasn't sad to see him go.
Gilmour is 32 early next year so not bothered about him either.
I'm happy enough about Wigan. We've a young team with a geniune prospect to build round and it hasn't been that bad a season. We are also not kicking kids out under the new regime like Maurice used to do for fun. Our youth system can only reap rewards to come.
I just think we need to get the coaching position clarified one way or the other.

We saw him 2005 (ish) and TBH he was ok 1st couple of years behind Craig Smith/O'Connor/Pongia/Faz/Hock etc but when they left and he had to do a front line jon in 2005 he wasn't up to it.
Did ok, but didn't tend to "Get stuck in" when needed!
A bit like Wilkin for me (Replace Wilkin's passing for Wild's Running) in that they both look great in a team going forward and winning but seem to go missing when you needed then to roll up their sleeves!

Well he's come on in leaps and bound then coz he's our top tackler, his defensive effort is awesome...he's often like three players in one. Of the ex Wigan lads at the cLub he is by far and away the best, but I'm fond of Brown too although I know he's not very popular around the JJB/DW these days. Aspinwall...well, anyway.

There's a big difference between being "Top Tackler" and "Hard Tackler"!
Like I said, Wilkin was top of the SL Stats for tackling mid season before his injury! He could tackle someone all day and not hurt him!
Big games, intimidating games, rough games, that's when you see what's inside and TBH he hasn't disproved my theory yet!

Point taken, but sometimes it's just about making the tackle...hasn't got to be a Willie Mason job as long as it slows the opposing team and breaks up the attack.

| I was and still am a big fan of Wild.
The striking thing though is that he is now going at the rate of 35 tackles a game, at Wigan he wasn't doing half of that when he played in the forwards. Mostly he played centre here and that's where I think we have missed in until recently. With Gleeson in alongside Carmont we are ok in the centre. We don't need any backrowers as has been mentioned.
Still a good player though is Wild, his time for a return to Wigan may have passed for a quite few years yet, if he returns at all.

Has there been any rumours he will go back?

Works harder than just about any other player I have seen in Super league and tackles like a demon. The thing is from a Giants fan point of view, you just know he would love to still be at Wigan.'"
Trouble with him is he has the heart the size of a pea.
Saturday showed why it wasnt a bad thing to let those 3 go. Didnt see any of them all game.

| Wild to me is a luxury player, great when you're on top but not someone you want in your side when it's a really tough hard match.
