That was his name before he changed it 'Charnock'.......Hence I have always called him 'Gareth C.Hock'

| Hocks let people down not the club.
If he has anything about him he should cover the costs(or at least suggest it to the club and see what they can do between them).
I really want to see what Hock himself makes to all this, i'd hope he'll be heartbroken enough to do something about his life but i'm not banking on it.

| I don't know I wouldn't want it to drag on that much. It is bad enough as it is. I think it would be best for the club to just do what they are doing and act strictly by the rules.

| No. Why should the club be made to pay for Hock's stupidity?

| There will be a lot of people who won't want to wear those shirts again. It's not the club's fault, but perhaps they could do a deal to sell a replacement shirt for cost price instead of full retail? This would be good customer relations and also get some of the embarrassment off the streets.

| Good idea proposed. Swap the child's shirt in store and send the old ones (with a few extras) off to an orphanage in a less economically developed country as a gift. Wigan then gain positive publicity

Just don't send them to Colombia....
Jesting apart, yes, the club should exchange the shirts.

IF the sample B test comes up positive and he is banned - would it perhaps be a hugely kind and politically correct move by the club to offer replacement shirts for kids who have been bought shirts with his name on them?
He was seen and promoted as a role model and as so, his club also have a social responsibility.
Would it be worth the club ofering this option as a good will gesture. I know a couple of people who's kids have his name on them who couldn't afford to fork out again, even if it is to spare the kids feelings.
Other clubs haven't done this, but with Gaz being as many papers have already pointed out, the biggest name to be involved in this type of thing and Wigan surley not wanting fans to be penalised...would it be worth a ground breaking gesture of support?
Opinions?
'"
If I am not mistaken B sample is half of the original sample. A sample is taken and divided in two.
