20333_1393344959.gif Current thoughts - Mago out or get running up them plantations, get fit or get rid.
Maybe a back up halfback, someone with a bit of experience on a short term deal.
Big tall strong running second rower, like a McMeekin or Sironen type back rower.:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_20333.gif |

| Andy Farrell, Led by example, could kick goals for fun and is exactly what we are lacking now, leadership, someone to give the rest of the team a kick up the backside, there is no way Fielden would be playing so poor if Farrell was here, Farrell would give Fielden a rocket and Fielden wouldn't dare backchat.
He was the sort of player Long/Cunningham had nightmares of, now Farrell has gone them two take the mick out of us men!!!

| Sooner have
Richards
Roberts Hanley Carmont Ainscough
Tomkins Edwards
Fielden Tommy Prescott
Hock Lockers
Farrell
Odd call to put Hanley in the centres, but the man can play anywhere on the pitch (in his prime) just get him on the field.

| Plus Farrell would give Roberts a talking to, he walks round like he aint bothered and makes all but 2 yards every time he takes the ball in, I think we may have another Vaeliki on our hands if he doesn't pull his finger out soon.

Obviously age limits some folk's choice. I loved Steve Hampson growing up and Henderson Gill was another favourite. Martin Dermott was a great hooker and then you get onto Lydon, Bell, Gregory, Hanley, Edwards, Miles, Kenny, Offiah, Renouf, Dallas, Robinson, Farrell, Betts, Platt, Botica, Connolly, Goodway, Iro, Radlinski.....

| Only got 3 picks from our history. If I picked Radz I couldn't have had Hanley Edwards or Farrell.
I think These positions are more important to fill than the FB spot.
Obviously I'd have Rads over Pat. but then again I've have Hampo over Rads.

Please don't your bringing back memories of when I used to care and so did the players.
Also a word to the wise, don't check out 'central park tribute' on a popular video sharing website, it will only work you up as it did me!!!!!!

| Id have a whole host of em....but if just one would have to be farrell IMO.....not because i think he was the best out of the players listed....(who could ever choose between greg, edwards, farrell, rads, hanley etc.) but because i think he would bring all the things we are currently missing, and if we could only have one player, he would be the one who could make up almost singlehandedly all of the deficiencies in this current side and make them into title challengers IMO.
IMO we are lacking four major things at the moment, Go forward, Creativity, a Leader, & passion and desire.
Out of all the players listed faz would be the only one who would probably tick all those boxes......he could be the $hithouse prop we so desperately need and take the pack forward almost singlehandedly (remember 2005?!?!), as a creative player he was also one of the smartest forwards i have ever seen (bar prob hanley) and would add stacks of creativity in the middle. As a leader he was probably second to none, and he never lacked desire or passion, nor would he allow a player to play in his team which lacked it.
a player like farrell IMO could take this current lot to a final. Was saying this in the pub on friday....when you lose players of his and barretts calabre it really makes you realise what great players they are. Currently, and probably for the last 10 years we have been nothing but an average mid table side, yet while we didnt win much with either of these two, both those players took us so close to a number of successes almost single handedly, and turned a team of mid table averageness into almost title challengers.

Is it me or are there 4 clones there?
Given the option I would just clone the '95 Grand Slam winning team. However with just three i would go:
Richards
Roberts
Connolly
Carmont
Ainscough
S Tomkins
Edwards
Platt
Riddell
Fielden
Hock
O'Loughlin
J Tomkins
Hansen
Feka
Leuluai
O'Carroll
