Does someone do that job for us now? Though I hate to say it, I’d say Warrington are leading the way in Superleague of how a club should be run off the field. Ian’s Lenegan and Rads needs a wake up call, the club is falling to pieces and their answer is to promote a big game on a poster at Abram Guest gates or the building site fencing near to Wigan baths. Is that what we have become, advertising on a level with Billy Smarts circus? Mind you, we are a bloody circus at the minute.

I’d like to think so but considering what you’ve just said and the saddening truth of it I do have to wonder.
Just to further that point about our unbelievably poor marketing - that’s a major reason why fans stay away. You’re only going to get X amount of core supporters present home and away week in week out rain or shine. The rest you have to entice in by way of superb marketing. Warrington’s average attendance in 2012 was 11,166 (we had the best with 16,043). I’d be pretty amazed if that wasn’t beaten by 30%-40% this season.
Bigger crowds = bigger income thus bigger kitty for signings. We’ve got to speculate to acccumulate, something which IL has dramatically failed on in recent times. Instead we’ve been to London and Australia to bring in income when the answer is far simpler. Just look at what Warrington are doing!

This below is on the clubs website when your look to find out about the club, I’m sure new fans would be keen to watch our coach Shaun Wane coach is the Wigan Way and be excited by such players as Matty Bowen, Josh Charnley and Ryan Hampshire.
[iThe Club is now led by home-grown and innovative Head Coach Shaun Wane who has re-established a synonymous brand of exciting rugby. Developing our own talent, whether that be in coaching staff, office staff or players is at the heart of a unique culture where we do it The Wigan Way.
A number of exciting young Wigan-trained stars including George Williams, Dominic Manfredi and Ryan Hampshire continue their development alongside Internationals such as Joel Tomkins, Josh Charnley and Sean O’Loughlin, complimented by overseas stars Matty Bowen and Anthony Gelling.[/i
This is 4 years out of date, I’m guessing it’s from 2015. But it also sums up what’s going on at the club at the minute, it’s an indicator of all that’s wrong at the minute, they are scrimping on staff whether it be on or off the field.

That's weird. I'm something slightly different:

A slight update, but as you say, this is very unprofessional indeed.

As I posted the other day, Wigan have more playing and coaching staff than St Helens. So how are they scrimping?

More doesn’t mean better, they might have someone who goes around pumping balls up, another checking the pressure of the balls afterwards and a supervisor who does the QC on their work.
To not update your website about what the club is about if you are a sports team is pathetically poor, it should be done season by season at the very least but it’s 4 years out of date.
Imagine if Saints were saying the same about Cunningham as their coach with overseas players Travis Burns and Mose Masoe, or if Man Utd has their website as Louie Van Gaal still listed as coach with Captain Wayne Rooney, Memphis Depay and Bastian Schweinsteiger.
The club is being run by well meaning ex players who know rugby but not the off field side of things, from top to bottom. This is where they are scrimping, instead of going out and getting the right people with the experience needed.
